Correct use
The UPS "Venus VS550" is used to by-pass short-term failure of the mains voltage,
so that connected loads (for 230V~/50Hz) can continue to operate. The total power
consumption of the devices concerned must not exceed 330W/550VA . When there
is a power failure, the output voltage of the UPS is not sinusoidal, therefore only
loads for which operation of this kind is permissible may be connected to it.

• LEDs/piezoelectric buzzer to indicate the operating status
• Maintenance-free due to convection cooling (no fan installed) and lead-acid battery
• The output voltage of the UPS is not sinusoidal, therefore its use with devices that
have to operate on precise sinusoidal voltage (e.g. dimmers or special measuring
instruments) could be problematic.
• The UPS is not suitable for devices with inductive loads, such as motors or fluore-
scent tubes etc.
• RS232 connection for UPS monitoring and for automatically powering down the
PC in the event of a power failure

Correcte toepassing
De UPS "Venus VS550" dient om een kortstondig uitvallen van de netspanning te
overbruggen en aangesloten verbruikers (voor 230V~/50Hz) verder te kunnen gebrui-
ken. Het totale opgenomen vermogen van de apparaten mag daarbij niet hoger zijn
dan 330W/550VA. Omdat de uitgangsspanning van de UPS bij een netstoring niet
sinusvormig is, mogen alleen verbruikers worden aangesloten waarvoor een dergeli-
jke spanning mogelijk is.
