a. Place the radio in yourpack, f eedthe cordthrough

b. Rotate the powerknobclockwise/counter
clockwise to poweron, raisevolume, o r poweroff.
c. Totransmit,press andholdthe push-to-talk button,
wait onesecond before speaking. R elease w hen
finished speaking.
d. Lightson the SmartMic:Solidred= transmitting,
solidgreen= receiving, f lashing green= standby.
Selecting a Channel
a. 8 PM446 channels + 38 sub-channels f or privacy.
b. Push Menu and use A and v buttons to scroll
andselecta channel. S topon the desiredchannel
codeandwait 3 seconds until it stopsflashing,
or press0K.

usedchannels s etahead of timeto avoidgoinginto

a. Select a letter on the Pre-set channel knob.
b. Push Menu and use
select a channel.
c. Stoponthe desired channel codeandwait3 seconds
untilit stopsflashing, or press 0K.
d. Toset privacycode,pushMenubuttonwhile
channel c odeisflashing, s crollto desired
channel a ndwait 3 seconds, or push0K button.
e. Select t he nextletter onthe pre-set c hannel k nob
and repeat.
Lock the keys
Hoki down the Menu and 0K button for three seconds.
Holding downthosetwo buttonswill alsounlock the keys.
