Introduction
Please read the instructions carefully before using the product, particularly the safety information.
Failure to follow the instructions could lead to serious injury or damage to the product.
Only use the product as described in these instructions. Any other improper or unintended use could
cause damage to property or even personal injury.
Retain the instructions for future use. If you pass the product on to a third party, please ensure that the
instructions are included.
DANGER for children
• Keep children away from the packaging. The plastic film and bags are not toys. Please ensure that
these are not pulled over the head and no parts of them are swallowed as there is a risk of
suffocation!
• Keep small children and babies away from the product as they could use it to pull themselves up
or try to climb on it.
• If children get hold of the guy ropes, they could strangle themselves.
• Do not leave the guy ropes unattended.
• Always store the guy ropes out of the reach of children.
• Do not allow children to play with the guy ropes.
DANGER from fire/lightning/heat
• Please be aware that the cover is made of flammable material.
• Do not place any cooking or heating appliances near the product.
• Do not use gas appliances or other combustion devices.
• Avoid open flames near the product, e.g. from propane stoves, candles or kerosene lamps.
• Do not smoke near the product.
• Make sure that you are aware of the fire safety precautions in the area.
• Do not assemble or dismantle the product during a storm.
CAUTION – risk of injury or damage to property
• The pegs and guy ropes present a tripping hazard. Please make children aware of them.
• Always drive pegs completely into the ground.
• Incorrect assembly, improper handling and use during extreme weather conditions may cause
damage to the product.
• Do not assemble the product in places where it is exposed to windy conditions.
• In stormy weather, the palm hat is designed to withstand wind speeds of up to 75 km/h.
However, please check regularly that it is still securely fixed in place.
• If you open the packaging carelessly using a sharp knife or other pointed objects, you could cause
damage to the palm house. Please open it with care.
• There are also pointed objects inside the packaging. Gloves should be worn during assembly.
• Assembly requires two people.

Cleaning and care:
• Improper cleaning of the palm house could cause damage to the product.
• Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, brushes with metal or nylon bristles or sharp or metal
cleaning implements such as knives, hard scrapers or similar.
• Never wash the product in the washing machine.
• Never have the product dry cleaned.
• Only use plain water or standard commercial detergents for cleaning.
• If you fold up the product while it is damp or dirty, it may become mouldy or start to smell. It
may also become discoloured.
• The palm house may become defective as a result of general wear.
• Check the product regularly for tears and damage to the frame, especially if it has not been
used for a long period of time.
• In the event of any damage, always repair the palm hat before using it again.
Intended use:
• The product is suitable for the protection of plants in outdoor settings.
• It is intended for use in a private household and is not suitable for commercial use.
• The palm hat should not be used in extreme weather conditions.
Disposal of packaging:
Dispose of the packaging correctly. The cardboard, carton and plastic film can be recycled.
Dispose of the product in accordance with the applicable waste disposal regulations in your country.
