The Tristar PD-9048 is an electric lunchbox with AC and DC plug.
Intended use
This appliance is intended for indoor use only.
This appliance is intended exclusively for domestic, non-commercial use.
This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
- staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
- farm houses;
- by clients in hotels, motels, and other residential type environments;
- bed and breakfast type environments.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety.
Any use of the appliance other than described in this user manual is regarded as
misuse and may cause injury or damage to the appliance and void the warranty.

SAFETY
Safety precautions
• By ignoring the safety instructions the
manufacturer cannot be held responsible for the
damage.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent
or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a
hazard.
• Never move the appliance by pulling the cord
and make sure the cord cannot become
entangled.
• The user must not leave the appliance
unattended while it is connected to the supply.
• This appliance is only to be used for household
purposes and only for the purpose it is made for.
• This appliance shall not be used by children
aged less than 8 years. This appliance can be
used by children aged from 8 years and above
and persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance in a
safe way and understand the hazards involved.
Children shall not play with the appliance. Keep
the appliance and its cord out of reach of children
aged less than 8 years. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by children
unless older than 8 and supervised.
• To protect yourself against an electric shock, do
not immerse the cord, plug or appliance in the
water or any other liquid.
• For the first operation, it is advisable to read the
manual carefully beforehand and keep it properly
for future use.
• If abnormal noise, smell, smoke or any other
failure or breakage is found during the operation,
you should turn off the switch and unplug it. Then
contact with your service center for repair. Do not
repair by yourself.
WARNING

Safety hazard due to unintended use:
• Only use the appliance as described in this user
manual.
• Never use the appliance if there are visible signs
of damage or defects. Always replace a
damaged or defective appliance immediately.
• Never make any adjustments to the appliance.
Adjustments may affect safety, warranty and
proper operation.
• Switch off the appliance before attaching any
accessories, cleaning it, or dealing with any
disturbance.
• Do not use outdoors.
• Do not touch the hot surface of appliance (such
as steam wand, and the steel mesh just boiling).
Use handle or knobs.
• Never fill the appliance above the MAX indicator.
Electric shock hazard due to short-circuiting:
• Never open the appliance. The appliance may
only be opened for maintenance by an
authorised technician.
• Never lift the appliance by the power cable.
Lifting the appliance by the power cable may
damage the power cable. Only lift the appliance
by holding the base.
• Never replace the power cable yourself. Always
let the manufacturer, its service agent or a
similarly qualified person replace the power
cable.
• Always unplug the power cable when the
appliance is not in use or unattended, and before
cleaning.
• Always check if the voltage stated on the type
plate of your appliance matches your mains
voltage before use.
Safety hazard for children:
• Keep the appliance and accessories out of reach
for children.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the appliance.
Fire hazard due to overheating:
• Always place the appliance on a stable, flat,
heat, and moisture resistant surface.
• Never leave the appliance unattended when in
use. Only use the appliance under supervision.
Switch off the appliance and remove the power
cable from the power outlet when you leave the
room or car
• Don't put paper, towels and other flammable
items on the heating area A , in case of causing

a fire.
Fire hazard due to short-circuiting:
• Never use the appliance in the immediate
surroundings of a bath, a shower or a swimming
pool.
• Never drop the appliance and avoid bumping.
Excessive vibrations can lead to loosened
connections and can influence proper functioning
of the appliance. Stop using the appliance if the
appliance has been dropped.
• Always connect the Power cord into correct port
on the back of the Lunch Box. Never connect the
Lunch Box to AC and DC power at the same
time.

• If the surface is cracked, switch off the appliance
to avoid the possibility of electric shock. Metallic
objects such as knives, forks, spoons and lids
should not be placed on the hotplate since they
can get hot.
• Spilled food can cause severe burns.
• Do not use the Lunch Box to heat soup or other
hot liquids in a vehicle.
• The instructions for appliances that have to be
used with particular vessels that are not supplied
shall specify the vessels to be used.
• Time and temperature are critical in the cooking
process because some bacteria can grow in food
in the absence of oxygen and produce toxin.
Closely follow the recipes carefully.
• If the food will not be consumed within 4 hours, it
is beneficial to cook until the food is pasteurized.
• When use DC input, it must only be supplied at
safety extra-low voltage corresponding to the
marking on the appliance.
NOTICE
Risk of damaging the appliance:
• Never use aggressive chemical cleaning agents
that can damage the appliance when cleaning
the appliance.
• Keep the appliance and cord away from heat,
direct sunlight, water, moisture, sharp edges etc.
• The heating base, outer lid, food container, and
food container lid are not oven-safe or
microwave-safe.
BEFORE FIRST USE
• Take the appliance and accessories out the box. Remove the stickers, protective foil
or plastic from the device.
• Clean the appliance with a damp cloth. Never use harsh and abrasive cleaners,
scouring pad or steel wool, which damages the appliance.
USE
Since the unit has a detachable power cord, ensure you bring the power cord along with
the lunchbox or leave it at the intended location, such as your home, office, school, or
private car.
Gently pull up the steam vent to open. And press down the steam vent to seal.
Always carry the unit upright or by the lid handle and make sure the lid locking clips are
secured when traveling
Using the device
Fill the removable food container A6 with your desired food. Place the food container
lid A4 on and press it down firmly to secure it. The food container has a capacity of
900ml—do not overfill.
Ensure the steam vent on the lid is firmly pressed down and properly seals the vent
hole to prevent spills or leakage.
Place the food container inside the heating base A8. Then, place the outer lid on top
and securely fasten it using the locking clips A3 on both sides.
NOTE: The Food container lid and Outer lid do not need to be secured while the unit is
heating and warming the food, but is recommended to avoid spilling and to ensure the
quickest heating time.
Plug power cord into wall socket.
The indicator light A7 turns on.
After use, unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. The power indication light turns off.
Open the locking clips on both sides of the outer lid, then gently remove the lid.
To release hot air, pull up the steam vent A5 to the OPEN position before carefully
lifting the food container lid.
NOTE: Do not remove the Food container from Warming base while hot.
Unit will not automatically turn off and will continue to warm unless it is unplugged
Tips
This Lunch box is not designed for rapid heating. Heating times will vary based on the
type of food and its initial temperature. Stirring occasionally can help speed up the
heating process.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
• Always clean the device after each use.
• Before cleaning, unplug the appliance and wait for the appliance to cool down.
• Remove the food container, empty its contents, and fill it with warm, soapy water to
loosen any food residue.

Never immerse the heating base in water or other liquids or place it in a dishwasher.
•
The removable food container, food container lid, and outer lid are dishwasher safe.
•
Never use aggressive chemical cleaning agents that can damage the appliance
when cleaning the appliance.
•
Never use any sharp or metal objects when cleaning the appliance.
STORAGE
Unplug the device whenever it is not in use. Allow it to cool, then store it in a safe, dry
location. Never wrap the cord around the appliance. This will cause the cord to wear
and break prematurely. Handle the cord carefully and avoid jerking, twisting, or straining
it, especially at plug connections.
DISPOSAL
This product is labelled with this crossed out wheel bin symbol in
accordance with European Directive 2012/19/EC to indicate that it must not
be disposed of with your other household waste. Due to the presence of
hazardous substances, mixtures or components, electrical and electronic
devices that are not subject to selective sorting are potentially dangerous
to the environment and human health. Please check your local city office or
waste disposal service for the return and recycling of this product.

BESCHRIJVING APPARAAT

De Tristar PD-9048 is een elektrische lunchbox met AC- en DC-stekker.
Beoogd gebruik
Dit apparaat is uitsluitend bedoeld voor gebruik binnenshuis.
Dit apparaat is uitsluitend bedoeld voor huishoudelijk, niet-commercieel gebruik.
Dit apparaat is bedoeld om gebruikt te worden in huishoudelijke en soortgelijke
toepassingen zoals:
- personeelskeukenbereiken in winkels, kantoren en andere werkomgevingen;
- boerderijen;
- door klanten in hotels, motels en andere types residentiële omgevingen;
- omgevingen van het type bed and breakfast
Dit apparaat is niet bedoeld voor gebruik door personen ( waaronder kinderen) met
verminderde lichamelijke, zintuiglijke of geestelijke vermogens, of gebrek aan ervaring
en kennis, tenzij zij onder toezicht staan of instructies hebben gekregen betreffende het
gebruik van het apparaat van een persoon die verantwoordelijk is voor hun veiligheid.
Elk gebruik van het apparaat anders dan beschreven in deze gebruiksaanwijzing wordt
beschouwd als verkeerd gebruik en kan letsel of schade aan het apparaat veroorzaken
en de garantie ongeldig maken.

VEILIGHEID
Veiligheidsvoorzorgsmaatregelen
• Door de veiligheidsinstructies te negeren, kan de
fabrikant niet verantwoordelijk worden gehouden
voor de schade.
• Als de voedingskabel beschadigd is, moet deze
worden vervangen door de fabrikant, diens
servicedienst of gelijkwaardig gekwalificeerd
personeel om gevaren te voorkomen.
• Verplaats het apparaat nooit door aan het snoer
te trekken en zorg ervoor dat het snoer niet
verstrikt raakt.
• De gebruiker mag het apparaat niet onbeheerd
achterlaten terwijl het op de voeding is
aangesloten.
• Dit apparaat is uitsluitend voor huishoudelijk
gebruik en voor het doel waar het voor bestemd
is.
• Dit apparaat mag niet worden gebruikt door
kinderen jonger dan 8 jaar. Dit apparaat kan
worden gebruikt door kinderen vanaf 8 jaar en
door personen met verminderde lichamelijke,
zintuiglijke of geestelijke vermogens of gebrek
aan de benodigde ervaring en kennis indien ze
onder toezicht staan of instructies krijgen over
hoe het apparaat op een veilige manier kan
worden gebruikt alsook de gevaren begrijpen die
met het gebruik samenhangen. Kinderen mogen
niet met het apparaat spelen. Houd het apparaat
en het netsnoer buiten bereik van kinderen
jonger dan 8 jaar. Laat reiniging en onderhoud
niet door kinderen uitvoeren, tenzij ze ouder zijn
dan 8 jaar en onder toezicht staan.
• Dompel het snoer, de stekker of het apparaat
niet onder in water of andere vloeistoffen om
elektrische schokken te voorkomen.
• Voor de eerste werking is het raadzaam om de
handleiding zorgvuldig van tevoren te lezen en
deze goed te bewaren voor toekomstig gebruik.
• Als er tijdens de werking abnormaal geluid, geur,
rook of enig ander defect of breuk wordt
waargenomen, moet u de schakelaar
uitschakelen en het apparaat loskoppelen.
Neem vervolgens contact op met uw service-
centrum voor reparatie. Repareer het niet zelf.
WAARSCHUWING

Veiligheidsgevaar door onbedoeld gebruik:
• Gebruik het apparaat alleen zoals beschreven in
deze gebruiksaanwijzing.
• Gebruik het apparaat nooit als er zichtbare
tekenen van schade of gebreken zijn. Vervang
een beschadigd of defect apparaat altijd
onmiddellijk.
• Breng nooit aanpassingen aan het apparaat aan.
Afstellingen kunnen de veiligheid, garantie en
goede werking beïnvloeden.
• Schakel het apparaat uit voordat je accessoires
aansluit, het schoonmaakt of storingen verhelpt.
• Niet buitenshuis gebruiken.
• Raak het hete oppervlak van het apparaat niet
aan (zoals de stoomstaaf en het gloeiend hete
stalen gaas). Gebruik handgrepen of knoppen.
• Vul het apparaat nooit tot boven de
MAX-indicator.
Gevaar voor elektrische schokken door kortsluiting:
• Maak het apparaat nooit open. Het apparaat mag
alleen door een erkende technicus geopend
worden voor onderhoud.
• Til het apparaat nooit op aan de voedingskabel.
Als je het apparaat aan de voedingskabel optilt,
kun je de voedingskabel beschadigen. Til het
apparaat alleen op door de voet vast te houden.
• Vervang nooit zelf de voedingskabel. Laat de
voedingskabel altijd vervangen door de fabrikant,
diens service-agent of een even gekwalificeerde
persoon.
• Haal de elektriciteitskabel altijd uit het
stopcontact wanneer het apparaat niet in gebruik
of onder toezicht is, en voordat u het reinigt.
• Controleer altijd vóór het gebruik of de spanning
vermeld op het typeplaatje van uw apparaat
overeenkomt met uw netspanning.
Veiligheidsgevaar voor kinderen:
• Houd het apparaat en de accessoires buiten
bereik van kinderen.
• Kinderen moeten onder toezicht staan om ervoor
te zorgen dat ze niet met het apparaat spelen.
Brandgevaar door oververhitting:
• Zet het apparaat altijd op een stabiele, vlakke,
hitte- en vochtbestendige ondergrond.
• Zet het apparaat altijd op een stabiele, vlakke,

apparaat nooit onbeheerd achter als het in
gebruik is. Schakel het apparaat uit en verwijder
de stroomkabel uit het stopcontact wanneer u de
kamer of auto verlaat.

verwarmingsoppervlak A ; dit kan brand

veroorzaken.
Gevaar voor elektrische schokken door kortsluiting:
• Gebruik het apparaat nooit in de onmiddellijke
nabijheid van een bad, een douche of een
zwembad.
• Laat het apparaat nooit vallen en vermijd stoten.
Overmatige trillingen kunnen leiden tot
losgeraakte verbindingen en kunnen de goede
werking van het apparaat beïnvloeden. Gebruik
het apparaat niet meer als het gevallen is.
• Sluit de stroomkabel altijd aan op de juiste poort
aan de achterkant van de lunchbox. Sluit de
lunchbox nooit tegelijkertijd aan op wisselstroom
en gelijkstroom.

• Schakel het apparaat uit als het oppervlak
gebarsten is om de kans op elektrische schokken
te voorkomen. Metalen voorwerpen zoals
messen, vorken, lepels en deksels mogen niet
op de kookplaat worden geplaatst omdat ze heet
kunnen worden.
• Gemorst voedsel kan ernstige brandwonden
veroorzaken.
• Gebruik de lunchbox niet om soep of andere
hete vloeistoffen op te warmen in een voertuig.
• De instructies voor apparaten die gebruikt moeten
worden met specifieke, niet meegeleverde kook-
potten of schalen, moeten aangeven welke pre-
cies gebruikt moeten worden.
• Tijd en temperatuur zijn cruciaal in het
kookproces omdat sommige bacteriën in voedsel
kunnen groeien bij afwezigheid van zuurstof en
gifstoffen kunnen produceren. Volg de recepten
nauwkeurig en zorgvuldig.
• Als het voedsel niet binnen 4 uur wordt
geconsumeerd, is het raadzaam om door te
koken tot het voedsel gepasteuriseerd is.
• Bij gebruik van gelijkstroom (DC) moet deze
uitsluitend worden geleverd op een veilige extra-
lage spanning die overeenkomt met de
markering op het apparaat.
OPMERKING
Gevaar voor beschadiging van het apparaat:
• Gebruik bij het schoonmaken van het apparaat
nooit agressieve chemische
schoonmaakmiddelen die het apparaat kunnen
beschadigen.
• Houd het apparaat en het snoer uit de buurt van
hitte, direct zonlicht, water, vocht, scherpe
randen enz.
• De verwarmingsbasis, het buitendeksel, de
voedselbak en het deksel van de voedselbak zijn
niet oven- en magnetronbestendig.
VOOR HET EERSTE GEBRUIK
• Haal het apparaat en de accessoires uit de doos. Verwijder de stickers,
beschermende folie of plastic van het apparaat.
• Maak het apparaat schoon met een vochtige doek. Gebruik nooit agressieve en
schurende reinigingsmiddelen, schuurspons of staalwol, die het apparaat
beschadigen.
GEBRUIK
Aangezien het apparaat een afneembaar netsnoer heeft, moet je de stroomkabel
meenemen met de lunchbox of deze achterlaten op de beoogde locatie, zoals thuis, op
kantoor, op school of in de auto.
Trek de stoomopening voorzichtig omhoog om te openen. En druk op de stoomopening
om af te sluiten.
Draag het apparaat altijd rechtop of aan de handgreep van het deksel en zorg dat de
vergrendelingsclips van het deksel goed vastzitten als je onderweg bent
