3. REMUS SOUND CONTROL
General mode of operation
The REMUS Sound Control allows to adjust the response of the flap when using
a REMUS sport exhaust system with build in flap.
The communication between the REMUS OBD2 plug, the REMUS Bluetooth Button
and the sophisticated REMUS Sound Control electronics is done via Bluetooth.
The REMUS Sound Controller calculates the opening angle of the flap based on
the data received from the vehicle, always keeping in mind the legal guidelines
and norms to get the maximum of sound out of it.
With the help of the REMUS Bluetooth button you can select between two
sound modes:
• Mode 1, LED on the button lights up green
• Mode 2, LED on the button lights up red
Mode 1
In this mode, the flap always remains closed, regardless of the driving condition.
However, to ensure engine protection, the flap opens automatically when ¾ of
the rated rpm is exceeded.
The legal limits applicable to the vehicle in question are always complied with.
Mode 2
In this mode, the flap follows fixed stored parameters, always depending on the
respective driving condition. This allows a clearly audible increase in „sound" to
be achieved without exceeding the legal limits for the respective vehicle.
