1. ATTACHING THE FOLLOWING SLINGS
1/A - Unravel the webbing and pass around a suitable structure of at least 18kN. Locate the O-ring
where the users safety line will be attached.
1/B - Pass the end loop through the O-ring
1/C - Insert the EN362 connector through the end loop. Ensure the keeper is fully locked/tightened
and the keeper is positioned on one side.
1/D - Pull the loose webbing tail through the ratchet slot. Tighten the ratchet fully with at least 1.5
turns of webbing.
1/E - Fully close the ratchet into the locking position.
1/F - The anchor strap is now ready for use. Regularly check the strap is tight and the ratchet and
connectors are locked.

GENERAL GUIDE
1. The intended purpose of this product is to use as a anchor device (EN 795) allowing attachment
of safety lanyards. Never use for any other purpose other than that for which it is intended, and
never use for lifting.
2. Users are warned that certain medical conditions such as heart disease, high blood pressure,
vertigo, epilepsy, drug or alcohol dependence, could affect the safety of the user in normal and
emergency use.
3. This equipment must only be used by suitably trained personnel who are competent in its safe
use.
4. Ensure before use that there is a suitable rescue plan to enable the retrieval of the user to a place
of safety in the event of a fall.
5. Never attempt to modify or repair this product without our written consent.
6. Be aware of sharp edges. Only use with an edge radius of ≥ 0.5mm.
7. Before every use, the user must be suitably qualified to carry out a pre-use check (see section on
inspection).
8. The maximum value of deflection and displacement occurring during use will be less than 5% of
the strap length.
9. It is acceptable to mark the strap with the date of the next or last inspection with a suitable tag.
Do not write directly onto the strap.
10. When used as part of a fall arrest system, the user shall be equipped with suitable equipment to
limit the peak force in the event of a fall to a maximum of 6kN.
11. This product is recommended for personal issue, and is for use by a single user only.
12. Be aware of any possible dangers, which may arise through use of combinations of items of
equipment in which the safe function of any one item is affected by or interferes with the safe
function of another.
13. It is essential for safety that the equipment is withdrawn from use immediately should:
a) any doubt arise about its condition for safe use or if the equipment shows excessive wear or
damage to any part, or
b) it has been used to arrest a fall, and not used again until confirmed in writing by a competent
person that it is acceptable to do so.
14. 10kN is the maximum load that could be transmitted in service from the anchor device to the
structure.
15. Ensure that all anchor points and devices are compatible with this equipment and they have a
strength of at least 18kN.

16. In order to reduce the potential fall distance, ensure that the equipment anchor point is as high
as possible above the user. Never work above the anchor point. Minimise any slack in the lanyard.
17. Ensure there is sufficient clearance below the user, so that in the event of a fall, there will be no
collision with the ground or other obstacle in the fall path. In particular, allow for elongation of
energy absorbers.
18. This equipment is suitable for use in normal atmospheric conditions (-20°C to +50°C).
19. Wet and/or icy conditions within the above temperature range have no effect on performance.
Flexibility may be less with a frozen strap.
20. To prolong the life of the product it is essential to keep the product clean and away for dirt. Avoid
impact, sharp edges or abrasive surfaces, contact with strong acids or alkali, solvents, chemicals,
excessive heat and/or sparks, UV exposure, etc.
MATERIALS
The textile strap material and sewing thread is either nylon, polyester, or UHMWPE.
STORAGE, TRANSPORTATION & CLEANING
1. Ensure that when the strap is not in use or during transportation, it is suitably stored in a clean,
dry area and away from direct source of heat or sunlight, or any potentially sharp or abrasive
objects such as knives or tools.
2. If the strap gets wet, in use or after cleaning allow it to dry naturally.
3. The strap may be cleaned with a mild detergent, but must be rinsed afterwards in clean warm
water.
PERIODIC EXAMINATIONS AND SERVICE
1. Before every use, the user shall inspect the equipment following the inspection guidelines below;-
2. The safety of the user depends upon the continued efficiency and durability of the equipment,
therefore an additional thorough periodic inspection is required by an independent competent
person familiar with inspecting this type of equipment.
3. The frequency of examination and inspection must take into account legislation, equipment type,
frequency of use and environmental conditions, but must be at least every 12 months and the
results and date of the inspection must be recorded.
4. The equipment must be totally replaced after a maximum of 10 years from the date of
manufacture as shown on the product label.
INSPECTION
Webbing – check for cuts, tears, abrasion, scorch marks, burns, chemical attack or severely
discoloured patches. Local abrasion, distinct from general wear is often caused by passage of the
webbing over sharp and/or abrasive edges, and may cause serious loss of strength. Slight damage
to outer fibres may be considered safe, however serious reduction in width or thickness or serious
distortion to the weave pattern should lead to immediate rejection.
Metal - check for cracks, corrosion, distortion, irregular wear and ensure all moving mechanisms
operate correctly.
Stitching – check for broken, loose worn or abraded stitches or severely discoloured patches to the
stitching.
Product marking – check that the product markings including the serial number are legible.
Reject the equipment immediately if any of the above defects are found or if in any doubt.
REPAIR
This strap must not be modified or repaired unless advised by us in writing. Only competent persons
authorised by us may carry out any repairs. If in doubt contact RIDGEGEAR for further advice.
RECORDS
1. When using the strap for the first time, ensure that the first part of the product record card is
completed and the date of first use is recorded.
2. Ensure that the strap is inspected at regular intervals dependent upon frequency of use. Details
of all inspections must be recorded in the spaces provided on the record card.
3. It is essential for the safety of the user that if the product is resold outside the original Country
of destination that the reseller shall provide instructions for use, for maintenance, for periodic
examination and for repair in the language of the Country in which the product is to be used.
LIFESPAN
The lifespan of the strap is a maximum of 10 years from the date of manufacture. Avoiding abrasion,
contamination and correct storage will prolong the life of the product.

1. COLOCACIÓN DE LAS SIGUIENTES ESLINGAS

GUÍA GENERAL
1. El objetivo previsto de este producto es utilizarlo como dispositivo de anclaje (EN 795) que
permita la fijación de cordones de seguridad. Nunca lo use para ningún otro propósito que no
sea el previsto y nunca lo use para levantar.
2. Se advierte a los usuarios que ciertas condiciones médicas como enfermedades cardíacas,
presión arterial alta, vértigo, epilepsia, dependencia de drogas o alcohol, podrían afectar la
seguridad del usuario en el uso normal y de emergencia.
3. Este equipo sólo debe ser utilizado por personal debidamente capacitado y competente en su uso
seguro.
4. Asegúrese antes de su uso de que existe un plan de rescate adecuado que permita recuperar al
usuario a un lugar seguro en caso de caída.
5. Nunca intente modificar o reparar este producto sin nuestro consentimiento por escrito.
6. Tenga cuidado con los bordes afilados. Úselo únicamente con un radio de borde de ≥ 0,5 mm.
7. Antes de cada uso, el usuario debe estar debidamente cualificado para realizar un control previo
al uso (ver apartado de inspección).
8. El valor máximo de deflexión y desplazamiento que se producirá durante el uso será inferior al
5% de la longitud de la correa.
9. Es aceptable marcar la correa con la fecha de la siguiente o última inspección con una etiqueta
adecuada. No escriba directamente sobre la correa.
10. Cuando se utilice como parte de un sistema de detención de caídas, el usuario deberá estar
equipado con el equipo adecuado para limitar la fuerza máxima en caso de caída a un máximo
de 6 kN.
11. Este producto se recomienda para uso personal y es para uso exclusivo de un solo usuario.
12. Esté consciente de cualquier posible peligro que pueda surgir mediante el uso de combinaciones
de elementos de equipo en los que la función segura de cualquier elemento se ve afectada o
interfiere con la función segura de otro.
13. Es esencial por motivos de seguridad que el equipo se retire inmediatamente del uso si:
a) surja cualquier duda sobre su condición para un uso seguro o si el equipo presenta desgaste
excesivo o daño en alguna pieza, o
b) se ha utilizado para detener una caída y no se ha vuelto a utilizar hasta que una persona
competente confirme por escrito que es aceptable hacerlo.
14. 10kN es la carga máxima que se podría transmitir en servicio desde el dispositivo de anclaje a la
estructura.
15. Asegúrese de que todos los puntos y dispositivos de anclaje sean compatibles con este equipo y
tengan una resistencia de al menos 18 kN.
16. Para reducir la posible distancia de caída, asegúrese de que el punto de anclaje del equipo esté
lo más alto posible por encima del usuario. Nunca trabaje por encima del punto de anclaje.
Minimice cualquier holgura en el cordón.
17. Asegúrese de que haya suficiente espacio debajo del usuario para que, en caso de caída, no haya
colisión con el suelo u otro obstáculo en el camino de caída. En particular, tenga en cuenta el
alargamiento de los absorbentes de energía.
18. Este equipo es adecuado para su uso en condiciones atmosféricas normales (-20°C a +50°C).
19. Las condiciones húmedas y/o heladas dentro del rango de temperatura anterior no tienen ningún
efecto sobre el rendimiento. La flexibilidad puede ser menor con una correa congelada.
20. Para prolongar la vida útil del producto es fundamental mantenerlo limpio y alejado de la
suciedad. Evite impactos, bordes afilados o superficies abrasivas, contacto con ácidos o álcalis
fuertes, solventes, productos químicos, calor excesivo y/o chispas, exposición a los rayos UV, etc.
MATERIALES
El material de la correa textil y el hilo de coser es nailon, poliéster o UHMWPE.
ALMACENAJE, TRANSPORTE Y LIMPIEZA
1. Asegúrese de que cuando la correa no esté en uso o durante el transporte, se almacene
adecuadamente en un área limpia, seca y alejada de fuentes directas de calor o luz solar, o de
cualquier objeto potencialmente afilado o abrasivo, como cuchillos o herramientas.
2. Si la correa se moja, durante el uso o después de la limpieza, déjela secar naturalmente.
3. La correa se puede limpiar con un detergente suave, pero luego se debe enjuagar con agua
limpia y tibia.
INSPECCIÓN
Cintas: compruebe si hay cortes, desgarros, abrasión, marcas de quemaduras, ataques químicos o
parches muy descoloridos. La abrasión local, distinta del desgaste general, a menudo es causada
por el paso de la cinta sobre bordes afilados y/o abrasivos, y puede causar una pérdida grave de
resistencia. Un daño leve a las fibras exteriores puede considerarse seguro; sin embargo, una
reducción importante en el ancho o el grosor o una distorsión grave del patrón de tejido deberían
conducir al rechazo inmediato.
Metal – compruebe si hay grietas, corrosión, distorsión o desgaste irregular y asegúrese de que todos

Costuras – compruebe si hay puntadas rotas, sueltas, desgastadas o desgastadas o parches muy

REGISTROS
1. Cuando utilice la correa por primera vez, asegúrese de completar la primera parte de la tarjeta
de registro del producto y registrar la fecha del primer uso.
2. Asegúrese de que la correa se inspeccione a intervalos regulares dependiendo de la frecuencia

ESPERANZA DE VIDA

1. ANBRINGEN DER FOLGENDEN TRAGEGURTE
1/A – Entwirren Sie das Gurtband und führen Sie es um eine geeignete Struktur mit mindestens 18

ALLGEMEINE ANLEITUNG
1. Der vorgesehene Zweck dieses Produkts ist die Verwendung als Anschlagvorrichtung (EN 795),
die die Befestigung von Sicherheitsleinen ermöglicht. Benutzen Sie das Gerät niemals für einen
anderen Zweck als den, für den es vorgesehen ist, und verwenden Sie es niemals zum Heben.

Schwindel, Epilepsie, Drogen- oder Alkoholabhängigkeit die Sicherheit des Benutzers bei

6. Achten Sie auf scharfe Kanten. Nur mit einem Kantenradius von ≥ 0,5 mm verwenden.
7. Vor jedem Gebrauch muss der Benutzer über die entsprechende Qualifikation verfügen, um eine
Vorkontrolle durchzuführen (siehe Abschnitt „Inspektion").
8. Der maximale Wert der während des Gebrauchs auftretenden Durchbiegung und Verschiebung
beträgt weniger als 5 % der Gurtlänge.
9. Es ist akzeptabel, das Band mit einem geeigneten Etikett mit dem Datum der nächsten oder
letzten Inspektion zu kennzeichnen. Schreiben Sie nicht direkt auf das Band.
10. Bei Verwendung als Teil eines Absturzsicherungssystems muss der Benutzer mit geeigneter
Ausrüstung ausgestattet sein, um die Spitzenkraft im Falle eines Sturzes auf maximal 6 kN zu
begrenzen.
11. Dieses Produkt wird für den persönlichen Gebrauch empfohlen und darf nur von einem einzelnen
Benutzer verwendet werden.
12. Seien Sie sich möglicher Gefahren bewusst, die durch die Verwendung von Kombinationen von
Ausrüstungsgegenständen entstehen können, bei denen die sichere Funktion eines Teils durch
die sichere Funktion eines anderen Teils beeinträchtigt wird oder diese beeinträchtigt.
13. Aus Sicherheitsgründen ist es wichtig, dass das Gerät sofort außer Betrieb genommen wird, wenn:
a) Zweifel an seinem Zustand für eine sichere Verwendung bestehen oder wenn das Gerät
übermäßigen Verschleiß oder Schäden an irgendeinem Teil aufweist, oder
b) es zum Auffangen eines Sturzes verwendet wurde und nicht erneut verwendet wird, bis eine
sachkundige Person schriftlich bestätigt hat, dass dies zulässig ist.
14. 10 kN ist die maximale Last, die im Betrieb von der Ankervorrichtung auf die Struktur
übertragen werden kann.
15. Stellen Sie sicher, dass alle Anschlagpunkte und Geräte mit dieser Ausrüstung kompatibel sind
und eine Festigkeit von mindestens 18 kN haben.
16. Um die mögliche Fallhöhe zu verringern, stellen Sie sicher, dass sich der Befestigungspunkt der
Ausrüstung so hoch wie möglich über dem Benutzer befindet. Arbeiten Sie niemals oberhalb
des Ankerpunkts. Minimieren Sie den Durchhang des Tragebandes.
17. Stellen Sie sicher, dass unter dem Benutzer ausreichend Freiraum vorhanden ist, damit es im
Fall eines Sturzes nicht zu einer Kollision mit dem Boden oder einem anderen Hindernis im
Fallweg kommt. Berücksichtigen Sie insbesondere die Längenausdehnung der Energieabsorber.
18. Dieses Gerät ist für den Einsatz unter normalen atmosphärischen Bedingungen (-20 °C bis +50
°C) geeignet.
19. Nässe und/oder Eis im oben genannten Temperaturbereich haben keinen Einfluss auf die
Leistung. Bei einem gefrorenen Gurt kann die Flexibilität geringer sein.
20. Um die Lebensdauer des Produkts zu verlängern, ist es wichtig, das Produkt sauber und fern
von Schmutz zu halten. Vermeiden Sie Stöße, scharfe Kanten oder abrasive Oberflächen,
Kontakt mit starken Säuren oder Laugen, Lösungsmitteln, Chemikalien, übermäßiger Hitze und/
oder Funken, UV-Einwirkung usw.
MATERIALIEN
Das Textilbandmaterial und der Nähfaden bestehen entweder aus Nylon, Polyester oder UHMWPE.
LAGERUNG, TRANSPORT & REINIGUNG
1. Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Armband, wenn es nicht verwendet oder transportiert wird,
an einem sauberen, trockenen Ort und fern von direkter Hitze- oder Sonneneinstrahlung
sowie potenziell scharfen oder scheuernden Gegenständen wie Messern oder Werkzeugen
aufbewahrt wird.
2. Wenn das Armband während des Gebrauchs oder nach der Reinigung nass wird, lassen Sie es
auf natürliche Weise trocknen.
3. Das Armband kann mit einem milden Reinigungsmittel gereinigt werden, muss jedoch
anschließend in klarem, warmen Wasser abgespült werden.
