SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS.
Please keep this instruction manual (and especia-
lly the danger warnings) for future reference. This
instruction manual and its safety instructions are
only valid for this battery. Use the battery only for
Werku cordless tools. Only charge the battery with
the Werku WK403480 charger. There is a risk of
fire when attempting to charge the battery with a
type other than that intended for the charger. The
battery is supplied partially charged. In order to get
full power from the rechargeable battery, please
charge it fully with the charger before first use. Sto-
re the battery out of the reach of children. Do not
attempt to open the rechargeable battery, as this
may cause a short circuit. Vapors may be released
if the battery is damaged or improperly used. The
battery may burn or explode. In this case, find an
environment with fresh air and see a doctor if you
notice discomfort. The vapors can irritate the res-
piratory tract. In the case of incorrect application
or a damaged battery, flammable liquid may leak
from the rechargeable battery. Avoid contact with
her. In case of accidental contact, rinse with plenty
of water. In case of contact of the liquid with the
eyes, consult a doctor immediately. Battery fluid
may irritate the skin or cause burns. If the battery
is defective, the liquid may spill and wet adjacent
objects. Check the affected parts. Clean them, or
replace them if necessary. Avoid a short circuit. If
you are not using the rechargeable battery, store
it separately from paper clips, coins, keys, nails,
screws or other metal objects that could bridge its
contacts. Short circuiting the battery contacts may
cause burns or a fire. Sharp objects, such as nails
or screwdrivers, or external force can damage the
rechargeable battery. An internal short circuit may
occur and the battery may burn, smoke, explode
or overheat. Do not repair damaged battery. Bat-
tery maintenance should only be carried out by
Werku technical service. Protect the battery from
excessive heat, as well as prolonged exposure to
sun, dirt, fire, water or humidity. There is a risk of
explosion and short circuit. Only operate and sto-
re the battery at an ambient temperature between
-20°C and +50°C. Do not leave the battery in the
car in summer. With temperatures below 5°C the-
re may be performance limitations, depending on
each device. Only charge the battery at ambient
temperatures between 5°C and +40°C. Charging
the battery outside this temperature range may
damage the battery or increase the risk of fire.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING.
Occasionally clean the cooling vents and battery
connectors with a soft, clean, dry brush. Do not
use chemicals to clean the rechargeable battery.
