Installation and operating manual
1. OVERVIEW
Please read this manual before assembling the unit.
„
Retain this manual for the life of the equipment.
„
Observe local regulations and general safety rules during assembly and
„
operation of the unit.
The unit should be mounted vertically, in the room next to the storage tank
„
/buffer/exchanger to which the heat from the collectors will be transported.
Permissible operating media: heating water or aqueous propylene glycol
„
solution up to 50%.
The manufacturer reserves the right to make changes to the instructions
„
without prior notice.
2. SAFETY
The installation of the pump unit must only be carried out by a qualified worker with the necessary knowledge of plumbing
„
installation and a licence to operate electrical equipment.
Only carry out any work on the pump unit after checking that the temperature and pressure in the system do not pose a
„
risk to life or health.
The Alex HX10 MS unit is maintenance-free. Children and people with reduced physical and mental capabilities should not
„
be left unsupervised near the equipment.
A damaged power or control cable should be replaced with a new one by a qualified worker.
„
ELECTRICAL DEVICE - risk of electric shock. Pump unit components can be hot - risk of burns. The device contains
permanent magnets - a risk for people with implants.
3. INTENDED USE
The Alex HX10 MS pump unit is designed for pumping the working medium in closed, pressurised circuits of solar thermal
systems. The pump unit is equipped with a MiniSOL solar controller and safety features to prevent the permissible circuit
pressure being exceeded.
4. RETENTION AND DISPOSAL
Check the temperature and pressure in the circuit. Only carry out the following steps if the temperature and
„
pressure in the circuit allow it and the solar collector system is not in operation (no direct sunlight on the
collectors).
Drain the working medium through the drain valve.
„
Remove the pump unit together with the MiniSOL solar controller.
„
Return the decommissioned and unusable pump unit to a separate waste collection point. The device
„
must not be treated as municipal waste.
