Step 2: Adding a product to the application
• Make sure the doorbell is active and switched on, the LED on the
button must be flashing red. If the LED does not flash, activate the
doorbell by briefly pressing the button or by holding the button for
5 seconds.
• Open the "RETLUX HOME" app and click on "+" in the upper right
corner, then select "Add device".
On the left side of the screen under Add Manually, select CAMERAS
•
AND DOORBELLS, then select your model. (RSH 501).
• The app will show you a short tutorial with several steps on what you
need to do to successfully add the device.
• Enter the login information for your home Wi-Fi network, then enter
the password. (Note: Only 2.4 GHz networks are supported.)
• Your phone will display a QR code in the next window. Scan the
phone's screen with the QR code from a distance of approximately
10 to 20 cm using the video buzzer.
• A beep sounds from the video doorbell unit. Confirm in the app that the
unit has made a sound.
• The video doorbell is now connecting to your Wi-Fi router. This process
can take up to 2 minutes – please wait for it to complete.
• The app will display "Successfully added". Click "Finish" to go to the
doorbell control panel.
Installing the doorbell
Installation with self-adhesive plate
Only install the doorbell after pairing it with the app. Before installing the
doorbell, test its functionality at the installation site.
Note: Metal door frames significantly reduce Wi-Fi range. Avoid installing the doorbell
on a metal base.
Installation with double-sided adhesive plate
1. Peel the protective film from the adhesive backing.
2. Remove dust and grease from the installation surface.
3. Press the bell body against the surface and keep it pressed for at least
10 seconds.
Installation with screws (supplied)
1. Remove the weather cover from the bell body, and circle the drill
holes. Drill holes and insert dowels into them.
2. Use the screws to attach the weather cover to the surface.
Power connection (optional)
Use the supplied quick-connect cable to connect the doorbell to
a permanent 12 to 24 V AC/DC power supply. The doorbell does not need
to be recharged.
