9. Safe use
This helmet is only suitable for riding. It is not suitable for other sports
such as cycling, motorcycling or riding a scooter.
Check your helmet for a correct t before setting off. The clip system on
he chin strap must be fully closed. The straps must be closely tted.
Please check the helmets of any children accompanying you.
Do not draw or paint on the helmet and do not apply stickers. The inks,
paints and glues may contain components that have a negative in uence
on the stability of your helmet and its protection level.
Do not make any alterations to the helmet shell. Do not drill into it or screw
on any objects.
As a result of a fall or a heavier impact, the protection level of the hel-
met shell can be adversely affected, even if no external damages can
be identi ed. Therefore, always replace the helmet and never use one
involved in an accident! After a maximum of 5 years following the date of
manufacture (see date-stamp on helmet) the helmet should be replaced.
Please ride carefully, even when wearing a helmet, and do not take any
unnecessary risks.
Helmets can move more on your head when riding. In order to ensure that
the helmet remains in position during riding, adjust the
retention system to ensure that the movement of the helmet on the head
is minimal, both for front-to-rear and side-to-side movement.
Whilst helmets reduce the likelihood of injury, in certain circumstances
injury cannot be prevented. In particular, helmets are not
designed to protect the head in the event of crushing by a horse.
YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE RIDING FAST TO SUSTAIN AN INJURY!
The protection given by a helmet depends on the circumstances of the
accidents, whereby wearing a protective helmet doesn't not always pre-
vent a fatal accident or invalidity.
ALWAYS USE A HELMET WHEN RIDING AND PROCEED CAREFULLY!
A HELMET CAN ONLY PROTECT WHAT IT COVERS!
Always wear your helmet in the correct position. No helmet can protect
uncovered areas of the neck or head.
HELMETS MAY NOT BE USED BY CHILDREN TO CLIMB OR PLAY IF
THERE IS ANY RISK OF STRANGULATION.
10. Guarantee
SWING provides a two year guarantee on materials and manufacturing.
The guarantee does NOT extend to normal wear and tear, changes to the
product made by the customer or accidents caused by incorrect use. The
sales receipt with a stamp and the date of purchase is required to check
the validity of any guarantee claims.
