INTENDED USE
This PCI-Express -I/O card utilises the latest PCI-based peripheral controller chip-
set from MosChip, which means that this card can be installed on any PCI-capable
PC system. Most new motherboards no longer have a conventional serial or parallel
interface. With this card, the end user can equip the computer with serial interfaces
to connect their devices via serial or cables. The card offers better performance
and unrivalled data transfer rates.
General warnings
•
Do not open the housing for installation until the power source has been
disconnected.
•
Protect from dust and moisture.
If the computer housing is open, live parts can be touched, there is a
risk of electric shock and the installation may have to be carried out by
a specialised company.
NON-INTENDED USE
The following is considered improper use in the sense of foreseeable misuse:
•
Install the PCI Express card in the correct slot, otherwise the computer and
card may be damaged.
•
Avoid the occurrence of short circuits or bypasses during installation.

Before installing and activating the interface card, please ensure that you
have a full backup of your existing data from the hard drive. The manu-
facturer is not responsible for data transfer due to misuse, misapplica-
tion or negligence. If you have an installation problem, please contact your dealer.
HARDWARE INSTALLATION
1.
Switch off your computer and all devices connected to it.
2.
Remove the computer housing. Refer to your computer's operating instructions
for details.
3.
Find an unused PCI Express slot and remove the slot bracket. Save the screw
for later.
4.
Align the card horizontally in the PCI slot and insert it firmly and evenly. Take
care not to force it in. As soon as the card is correctly seated in the slot, screw
it to the housing using the screw.
5.
Then connect up to four SATA drives to the internal SATA 0 to SATA 3 ports
using optionally available SATA data cables.
6.
Close the computer housing.
7.
Switch on the computer. Now you can install the driver!
The enclosed driver CD contains all the necessary drivers. For Windows
11, Windows 10, the drivers are downloaded automatically.
