Safety
• The surge suppressor should only be connected to an earthed indoor wall socket.
• Check that all connected devices have the appropriate mains supply voltage (230 V 50 Hz).
Product description
• The surge suppression feature is designed to protect connected devices during e.g. thunder storms.
Note! The surge suppression feature will not protect against near or direct lightning strikes.
• Safety shuttered.
• Equipped with five varistors, a gas discharge tube and two thermal fuses.
• Two indicator lamps:
-
The red (POWER) indicator shows that there is both power to the surge suppressor's outlet
and power from the wall outlet. If the (POWER) light is not lit, this means that there is no
power at the wall socket or coming through the surge suppressor.
-
The green (PROTECTED) indicator shows that the surge suppression feature is active.
-
If the green (PROTECTED) indicator does not light, this indicates that the surge suppression
feature is no longer operational. The device will continue to function as a standard wall outlet
but no surge protection will be provided to any connected devices.
Operating instructions
1. First check that the device to be connected to the surge suppressor is turned off.
2. Plug the surge suppressor's plug into a wall socket, checking that both indicator lights are lit.
3. Then plug the device into the surge suppressor's socket.
