MALFUNCTION

Comb and cutter blades are
blunt.
The shearing blade tension is

The blades were not properly

CAUSE
The comb plate was wrongly
fitted.
Crank roller missing.
Cogwheel and/or reducing
Shearing head wore out.
The shearing tension is too
high.
No lubricant film on the crank
roller.
No grease on the sliding
sleeve.
Bearings are worn out.
Have the tension spring replaced.
Replace the sliding sleeve.
Replace the sliding sleeve.
Have swiveling fork replaced.
Have pressure yokes been
replaced.
Have the tension link spring
replaced
Have re-sharpened with approx.
20µm negative crown.
Increase pressure by tightening
the tension nut.
Have re-sharpened with
approx.20µm negative crown.
RECTIFICATION
Readjust the upper blade 1.5
mm backward in relation to
the comb plate.

re-sharpened if necessary.
