- Seite 6 F. Mount the detector Determine correct mounting location A combination detector is a smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector in one. Smoke rises and carbon monoxide spreads through the air. Due to this difference, the ideal mounting location depends entirely on your situation. Check figure 2 and 3 for correct mounting locations.
