OPERATION
•
Add the desired amount of ground coffee into the paper filter. We recommend using 5 to 6 g of ground coffee for a big
cup of coffee. Should you need a stronger coffee, increase the amount according to your preference.
•
Close the swing-out filter holder compartment (8) until it locks into place.
•
Place the glass carafe (10) on the warm plate (5).
Note: The coffee maker is equipped with a drip-stop valve which prevents coffee dripping out of the
paper filter holder (11) when glass carafe (10) is removed for short time during the brewing process. The
glass carafe (10) must be put back in place within 30 seconds; otherwise the coffee may overflow from
the paper filter holder (11).
•
Connect the power plug (6) to a suitable electrical outlet.
•
Press the on/off switch
lights up red, indicating that the brewing process has started.
•
After brewing, the glass carafe (10) with coffee can remain on the warm plate (5) to keep the coffee warm. For this
purpose the appliance must remain switched on*.
* When served, remove the glass carafe (10) from the warm plate (5) and pour the coffee carefully to ensure that
hot coffee is not spilled.
Hold the glass carafe by its handle only. Danger of burns!
Switching the coffee maker off

Let the appliance operate until the water tank (3) is empty.
•
After the glass carafe (10) has been emptied or when the warming function is no longer needed, switch off the
appliance by pressing the on/off switch

Rinse the glass carafe (10) and the paper filter holder (11) with hot water (-

Let the coffee maker cool for at least five minutes between brewing cycles.
Note: The coffee maker switches off automatically after 40 minutes inactivity.
Note: This appliance is not suitable for permanent operation. We recommend switching off the
appliance after one hour of operation.
CLEANING AND CARE
Before cleaning, make sure to disconnect the appliance from the electrical outlet and let it cool
completely.
Do not use solvents or abrasives, metal utensils or hard brushes for cleaning.
The parts of the coffee maker are not suitable for dishwasher and should only be cleaned by hand.

After the appliance has completely cooled, open the swing-out filter holder compartment (8) and remove the paper
filter.
•
Dispose of paper filter and coffee grounds in an environmentally-friendly way. Do not use the same paper filter
twice.
