BATHROOM SCALES

Introduction
In order to get the most from your new
bathroom scales, we would ask you to
read through this user manual and the
accompanying safety requirements before
beginning to use the scales. We also
recommend that you keep this user manual
in a safe place, just in case you want to
refresh your memory as to the way the

scales function.
Please note!
The manufacturers have left a plastic
strip in place between the battery and
the contacts, to make sure that the
battery does not run down. Remove the
plastic strip before beginning to use the
bathroom scales.

Special safety requirements
Do not expose the electronics in the
bathroom scales to water or damp.
Do not subject the glassplate in the
bathroom scales to heavy blows or shocks.
Method of use
Place the bathroom scales on to a fi xed,
even surface - tiled fl ooring for example.
The bathroom scales will not function
properly if they are used on a soft surface - a
fl oor carpet for example.

Place one foot lightly on to the the glass
plate on the bathroom scales.
The display will be activated. Wait until you
see "0.0 kg" on the display.
Step on to the bathroom scales with both
feet and stand still. After a moment, your
weight reading will be shown on the
display.
Step down off the bathroom scales.
The bathroom scales will switch off
automatically after about 6 seconds.
Error messages
If the bathroom scales are subject to a load
of more than 150 kg, the message "Err" will
fl ash on the display.
If the batteries in the bathroom scales need
to be replaced, the message "Lo" will fl ash
on the display.

Changing the batteries

Open the battery compartment in the base
of the bathroom scales. Carefully push the
metal clip outwards with your fi nger nail or
something similar, the batteries can then be
released. Insert new batteries into the scales
and then put the battery compartment
back in place. Dispose of the used batteries
in accordance with the regulations which
apply in your area.
