Troubleshooting
The Mobile Station Cannot Be
Operated
When the Mobile Station is first turned on, but it
cannot be operated, then the cable connections
between the Mobile Station and the track con-
nector box should be checked.
Nothing more can be added to
the locomotive list.
The locomotive list can take up to 40 locomotives
or powered rail cars. When you try to enter the
41st locomotive or powered rail car, the Mobile
Station will show „LIST FULL" on its screen. At
least one locomotive or powered rail car must
first bet deleted from the list in order to take this
locomotive or powered rail car into the list.
Update
If the menu cannot be called up on a Mobile Sta-
tion due to damaged software, this Mobile Station
can still be updated: The Mobile Station with the
damaged software must be unplugged. Immedi-
ately after the data transfer on the Mobile Station
that is sending has started, the Mobile Station
that is receiving must be plugged back in again.
The additional update procedure will run analog
to the regular update procedure.
The Locomotive Cannot Be
Operated with a Longer DCC
Address
If a locomotive with the long address cannot be
addressed, then Bit 5 in CV 29 should be che-
cked. In order to be able to run a locomotive with
the long DCC address, the address must first be
set in CV 17 and 18 (see DCC LG-ADR). In addi-
tion, Bit 5 must be set in CV 29, since otherwise
this address will be ignored.
Controlling Headlights /
Marker Lights in DCC
Operation
If a locomotive in DCC operation is run with a
different speed level count (14 or 28) than what it
is programmed for,
• the headlights / marker lights will come on or go
off when you change from one speed level to
22
another (locomotive with 14 speed levels run
with 28 speed levels),
and/or
• the locomotive will accelerate when the head-
lights / marker lights are turned on (locomotive
with 28 speed levels run with 14 speed levels).
This behavior can be corrected only by setting
the same speed level counts in the locomotive
decoder and in the Mobile Station.
