Labelling in accordance with ADR

The scope of delivery includes stickers for ADR-
compliant labelling.
ADR-compliant labelling for the packaging instruc-
tions P903, P908, P909 and P910:
• Hazardous goods pictogram 9A and
• Labelling of the respective UN number:
UN3480, UN3481, UN3090, UN3091
In addition, for P908 the following applies:
In accordance with special provision SV 376,
packages must be labelled with the words "DAM-
AGED/DEFECTIVE LITHIUM-ION BATTERIES"
or "DAMAGED/DEFECTIVE LITHIUM METAL
BATTERIES".
In addition, for P909 the following applies:
In accordance with special provision SV 377, pack-
ages must be labelled with the words "LITHIUM
BATTERIES FOR DISPOSAL" or "LITHIUM BAT-
TERIES FOR RECYCLING".
The SV188 label is not included in the scope of
delivery (rectangular sticker with red border).
The shipper is responsible for ensuring correct and
compliant labelling for transport. As the manufac-
turer, CEMO cannot be held responsible for this.

6. Care and maintenance

After a case of damage, the Li-SAFE BOX may not
be used again or must be repaired in consultation
with CEMO.
Continuous UV exposure of the box must be pre-
vented; otherwise, the plastic can prematurely age
or become brittle.
Frequent and intensive use may lead to signs of
wear on the fire protection inner lining. Sharp cor-
ners, sharp edges or protruding pieces on stored
batteries/rechargeable batteries must be mitigated
(e.g. by covering them with tape). In case of doubt,
the fire protection inner lining must be replaced by
an expert.

7. Disposal

Lithium batteries contained in the Li-SAFE BOX
must be disposed of properly.
Dispose of the Li-SAFE BOX in accordance with
the legal provisions for plastic recycling.
• Separate the inner lining.
• Properly dispose of contaminated components
after a case of damage.
