Select torque moment by turning the moment selector (2) to
the required position. The higher the value, the higher the
moment applied.
Charging and fitting the battery
Charge the battery fully before using the machine for the
first time.
Press the lock fasteners (7) on the sides of the battery pack
(6) and remove.
Place battery pack (C) in the charging station. Check that
the poles are correctly aligned.
The red diode will be lit while the battery is charging. Charg-
ing takes 5 to 7 hours. When the battery is fully charged, the
green diode will light.
Disconnect the charger from the mains after charging and
replace the battery pack in the drill/screwdriver.
Changing bits
Switch the direction selector (3) to its centre position.
Turn the chuck (1) anticlockwise to open the jaws of the
drillchuck.
Insert the drill bit required into the chuck. Turn the chuck
clockwise until the jaws grip the drill bit tightly.
Check that the bit is in the centre of the chuck and is se-
cure.
Use
Fit a suitable drill or bit for the task. Select direction and
moment.
Always hold the handle (9). Wrap the strap (if fitted) (8) around
the handle base.
Start the machine by depressing the on/off button (4) as far
as it will go. The further the trigger is depressed, the faster
the chuck will revolve.
Switch off by releasing the on/off button.
Screws and bits can be kept safe in the magnetic screw
holder (12) whilst working.
Allow the motor to reach full speed before starting to drill.
Do not press the drill too hard. Select a low speed for
screwdriving, large drills or hard materials and a higher speed
for small drills or soft materials.
Good tips for drilling
When drilling smooth surfaces, e.g. tiles, stick a piece of
strong tape on the drill site before drilling to prevent the bit
slipping.
Always punch the drill site when drilling steel.
Place a piece of scrap wood under the item when drilling
thin sheet metal to avoid deforming the sheet.
Lubricate the drill site with oil when drilling metal. Use ma-
chine oil for steel and paraffin oil for aluminium.
To avoid splinters when drilling wood or plastic, place a
piece of scrap wood under the item or drill from both sides.
Use a high drill speed when drilling plastic.
For large diameter holes, start with a small diameter drill
and then use the desired diameter.
Cleaning and maintenance
Clean the tool with a slightly damp cloth or compressed air
after use and always keep all surfaces and ventilation slots
(10) clean.
Never use corrosive or abrasive detergents, as they may
affect the plastic parts of the tool.
