Figure 3: Fill the eluent flask with fresh solvent. Carefully insert the lamp into the reservoir bottle and
tighten the union nut. Make sure that the quartz glass immersion column does not tilt. Now, connect
[PRO]
the suction capillary of your HPLC with the tapping connector of the SOLARIS .
Figure 4: Now, connect the power supply device over the hollow plug at the end of the cable to the
socket on the head of the UV lamp.
Figure 5: Use one of the included input clips as shown in the diagram for country-specific adaptation
for the power supply. Plug in the power adapter into your normal power socket. Make sure that the
power socket is conveniently accessible and that the power adapter can be disconnected from
the power supply at any time.
As soon as the power adapter is connected to the power supply the lamp begins to glow. From this
point, your eluent is effectively protected against contamination. To switch off the lamp disconnect
either the power plug or the socket on the head of the lamp.
