Product description
The chain link remover is designed to remove the pins holding bicycle chain links together. It can
be used with the following types of chain: 408, 410, Alpha, UG, HG.
Removing pins
1. Place the chain in the left-hand slot
as shown in the picture.
2. Tighten screw 1 to hold the chain
in place.
3. Force the pin out by turning screw 2.
Inserting a new pin
1. Place the chain in the left slot as
shown in the picture.
2. Tighten screw 1 to hold the chain
in place.
3. Insert a new pin (3) into the chain.
Make sure that the pin passes
accurately through both holes in
the chain link. Force the pin in by
turning screw 2.
4. Break off any excess length of pin.
Adjusting the chain
Sometimes a chain can be difficult to
bend following a change of link pin.
In this case, place the chain in the
right-hand slot and carefully turn screw
2 to stretch the chain a little so that it
is flexible again. Please note that the
right-hand slot should never be used for
removing or inserting pins.
