• Prima di effe�uare qualsiasi operazione sul galleggiante ricordarsi di disconne�ere la corrente
& dall'alimentazione generale.
• In caso di danneggiamento del cavo da parte dell'u�lizzatore o dell'installatore, il galleggiante
dev'essere sos�tuito.
• Non effe�uare giunture sul cavo del galleggiante: l'immersione può provocare un corto circuito
e scariche ele�riche.
AVVERTENZE AGGIUNTIVE:
Quando il galleggiante è collegato alla rete ele�rica, evitare avvolgimen� del cavo per non creare
indu�anza parassita aggiun�va
Gli interru�ori a galleggiante TAURUS Ex e SUPERTEC Ex devono essere installa� e mantenu� in
accordo alle norme impian�s�che e di manutenzione per ambien� classifica� contro il rischio di
esplosione per presenza di gas e vapori (esempio: EN 60079-14, EN 60079-17, oppure altre norme/
standard nazionali).
SUGGERIMENTI PER LA SCELTA DELLA BARRIERA A SICUREZZA INTRINSECA � IL TIPO DI
BARRIERE UTILIZZABILI PER ALIMENTARE IL DISPOSITIVO DEVE ESSERE A
ISOLAMENTO GALVANICO
Gli interru�ori a galleggiante, della serie TAURUS Ex e SUPERTEC Ex della TECNOPLASTIC S.r.l., sono
"DISPOSITIVI SEMPLICI" secondo la norma EN 60079-11:2012 (Costruzioni ele�riche per atmosfere
potenzialmente esplosive. Modo di protezione a sicurezza intrinseca "i"), § 5.7.a ed hanno capacità
ed indu�anza propria trascurabile.
Le cara�eris�che di alimentazione massime previste sono:
Ui = 30 V
Ii = 100 mA
Pi = 750 mW
Classe di temperatura: T6 (-20°C / +40°C) T5 (-20°C / +80°C)
Ques� disposi�vi non contengono proprie sorgen� efficaci in grado di provocare un esplosione,
e possono essere u�lizza� in Ambien� con pericolo di esplosione con presenza di gas ( gruppi IIA,
IIB, IIC).
Condizioni per l'u�lizzo sicuro:
Gli interru�ori a galleggiante serie TAURUS Ex e SUPERTEC Ex, al fine di scaricare eventuali
cariche ele�rosta�che, devono essere u�lizza� con liquidi condu�vi.
In caso si renda necessario pulire superficialmente il disposi�vo è assolutamente vietato l'uso di
panni asciu� o simili al fine di evitare l'accumulo di cariche ele�rosta�che.
Tu� gli interru�ori a galleggiante devono essere alimenta� mediante apparecchiature
associate [Ex ia] (BARRIERE DI SICUREZZA A DIODI OPPURE AD ISOLAMENTO
cer�ficazione ATEX separata, che rispe�no i seguen� limi�:

COLLEGAMENTI ELETTRICI:
Il circuito a monte deve proteggere da sovracorren� entrambi i condu�ori. ATTENZIONE: la mancanza di una
protezione farà decadere la garanzia qualora vi sia una ro�ura del galleggiante.
Il galleggiante deve essere obbligatoriamente collegato ad una Barriera di Sicurezza Intrinseca.
In caso si renda necessario pulire superficialmente il regolatore di livello, è assolutamente vietato l'uso di panni asciu�
o simili al fine di evitare l'accumulo di cariche ele�rosta�che.

Doppia funzione (svuotamento Fig.3 o riempimento Fig.4 a scelta dell'installatore):
Svuotamento: (Fig.3) collegando il filo nero e quello marrone, il circuito
apre se il galleggiante è in basso e chiude se il galleggiante è in alto.
Nota: isolare il cavo blu/grigio
Riempimento: (Fig.4) collegando il filo nero e quello blu/grigio, il
circuito apre se il galleggiante è in alto e chiude se il galleggiante è in
basso. Nota: isolare il cavo marrone.

Doppia funzione (svuotamento Fig.5 o riempimento Fig.6 a scelta dell'installatore):
Svuotamento: (Fig.5) collegando il filo 1 e 3, il circuito apre se il
galleggiante è in basso e chiude se il galleggiante è in alto. Nota: isolare
il filo 2.
Riempimento: (Fig.6) collegando il filo 1 e 2, il circuito apre se il
galleggiante è in alto e chiude se il galleggiante è in basso. Nota: isolare
il filo 3.
NOTES: DO NOT TAMPER WITH THE FLOAT SWITCH. THE NON RESPECT OF THE
FOLLOWING POINTS WILL AUTOMATICALLY CAUSE THE CANCELLATION OF THE
WARRANTY OF THE PRODUCT
• Before any opera�on on the float remember to disconnect the power supply from the main
power.
• In case of cable damage by the final user or installer, the float must be replaced.
• Do not make any joint on the cable of the float switch: immersion of such joints could
cause short circuits or electrical shocks.
ADDITIONAL WARNINGS:
When the float switch is connected to the mains power supply, avoid cable windings to not create
addi�onal parasi�c inductance.
Taurus Ex and Supertec Ex float switches must be installed and maintained in accordance with
standards for the installa�on and maintenance of systems for environments classified against the
risk of explosion due to the presence of gases and vapors (e.g. EN 60079-14, EN 60079-17, or other
na�onal standards/regula�ons).
SUGGESTIONS TO CHOOSE THE INTRINSIC SAFETY BARRIER – THE TYPE OF BARRIERS USABLE TO
POWER THE DEVICE MUST HAVE GALVANIC ISOLATION
Float switches type Taurus Ex and Supertec Ex made by Tecnoplas�c S.r.l. are "simple apparatus"
according to EN 60079-11:2012 standard (Electrical apparatus for poten�ally explosive
atmospheres. Intrinsically safe protec�on method "i") which capacity and inductance are negligible.
Maximum values of the power source:
Ui = 30 V
Ii = 100 mA
Pi = 750 mW
Temperature class: T6 (-20° C / +40° C) T5 (-20° C / +80° C)
These apparatuses do not have inner sources that can provoke an explosion, and they can be
used in hazardous environments at risk of explosion and with presence of gas (groups IIA, IIB,
IIC).
Condi�ons for a safe use:
Float switches type TAURUS Ex and SUPERTEC Ex must be used with conduc�ve liquids so to
discharge possible electrosta�c charges.
Should it be necessary to clean the float switch surface, it is strictly forbidden using dry clothes
or the like to prevent the accumula�on of electrosta�c charges.
All float switches need to be powered through associated apparatus [Ex ia]

TERMINAL CONNECTIONS:
The upstream circuit must protect both the conductors from overcurrent. WARNING: lack of protec�on shall null and
void the warranty in the event the float breaks.
The float has to be connected through an Intrinsic Safety
If it should be necessary to wipe the level regulator surface, it is strictly forbidden to use a dry cloth OR to avoid the
accumula�on of electrosta�c charges.
