Before first Use
 Familiarise yourself with the unit before the first use. Please notice the
safety instructions and use the unit only according to this manual.
 Remove all packaging materials from the unit and the accessory. Then
clean all components as described in chapter Cleaning.
Start-up
1. Place the coffee maker on a level, flat surface.
2. Plug the power plug into a wall socket earthed to regulations.
3. Before using the coffee maker for the first time, conduct one brewing
cycle without coffee and filter.
Operation
1. Lift up the lid (1). You can either use the included permanent filter or
insert a paper filter of the size 1 into the filter cage (2).
2. Put the desired quantity of ground coffee into the filter and. Fill only ¾
of the filter capacity with ground coffee.
3. Fill the desired amount of cold water into the glass pot (5) and fill the
water into the container. Please notice the water level marks (3) on the
container.
4. Close the lid and place the glass pot in the centre of the hot plate.
5. Press the ON/OFF switch (4) to turn the coffee maker on. Please notice
that ground coffee will absorb some water, therefore the coffee volume
is slightly lower than the original water volume.
6. Turn the coffee maker off, if the water container is empty and you do
not require the heat of the hot plate.
