Quick guide extraction systems STW164IP
1 Application and short description
Controllers STW164IP allow in conjunction with slider controls STW168M and bus modules.
STW161M controls extraction systems with up to 32 machines.
The STW164IP control serves as the central control unit. It records the operating state of the machines by measuring their
current consumption in the supply lines (current transformer STWA1 (H)) or via potential-free contacts.
It switches on the central extraction and opens the sliders on the channels to the individual machines.

3 Connection Plan
RS485 BUS: Switch on terminating resistors at the beginning
and end of the BUS line
• STW164IP:
• STW161M:
• STW168M:
If the STW164IP is not located at the beginning or end of the
BUS line, the terminating resistors must be switched on at
the corresponding STW168M or STW161M (beginning and
end of the BUS line).
