Preparation for use
Insert the handle (4) into the hole on the lifting
mechanism and swivel into place.
Use
Position the jack under the load to be lifted so
that the lifting tray is under the lifting point.
Check that the jack and the load are stable.
Pump up and down using the handle. The lifting
tray is raised and the load is lifted off the ground.
Position supports under the load before any form
of work is undertaken beneath it!
Lower the jack again after use by raising the
handle to the top position. The lifting tray and
load will be lowered completely.
Refilling with hydraulic oil
Position the handle horizontal and undo the
venting valve. The oil level is shown at the bottom
of the oil chamber.
Undo the ventilation plug and top up the
hydraulic oil (SAE-10), if necessary.
Close the venting valve and pump the handle until
the lifting tray is in the top position. Then open
the venting valve and step on the lifting tray so it
is forced down. Repeat this process 3-4 times. The
valves are now vented and the hydraulic oil is
distributed.
Close the venting valve and test the jack.
Cleaning and maintenance
The jack can be wiped with a damp cloth and a
small amount of cleaning agent, if required.
Do not use strong, abrasive or corrosive cleaning
agents on the jack, as these may damage the
components. Oil and grease can be removed using
benzine.
Lubricate all moving parts regularly and check the
hydraulic oil level before each use.

Troubleshooting
The hydraulic jack does not lift:
Check the oil level as described under Refilling
with hydraulic oil.
Undo the venting valve and pump the handle 5-6
times. Tighten the venting valve and try again.
Check that the venting valve is properly sealed and
clean or replace it if this is not the case.
The lifting tray cannot be fully lowered:
Clean and lubricate all moving parts.
Check that the ventilation plug is open.
The jack cannot lift 2 tons:
Undo the venting valve and pump the handle 5-6
times. Tighten the venting valve and try again.
If the methods above do not solve the problem,
the jack must be inspected and repaired, if
necessary, by an authorised workshop.
