Installing the base station
3 sockets are required for con­
necting the base station. A 230 V
socket for the power supply, a TAE
6f coded telecom socket for external
telephony and an 8-pin Western
socket for the in-home bus: Video.
The base station should be installed
as centrally as possible in the
building, in order to ensure optimum
wireless transmission. The location
for installing the charging cradle can
be optionally selected, but for the
sake of convenience this should also
be centrally positioned.
1 The base station can optionally
be mounted on the wall or free
standing. It does not need to be
visible for normal operation. Ensure
adequate air circulation around the
unit.
2 Plug the power supply unit into
the power socket. Plug the tel-
ephone connecting cable into the
Line socket. Connect the In-Home
bus: Video to the In-Home socket.
Installing the charging cradle
Plug the power supply unit into the
back of the charging cradle.
Installing the cordless handset
The cordless handset is delivered
with a storage battery already
inserted. Siedle recommends first
charging the cordless handset for
around 3 hours.
Installation
3 Connect to the In-Home bus in
accordance with the wiring diagram:

The basic functions door call, door
release and door dial can be pro­
grammed manually or at the PC
using the BPS 650­... programming
software. Additional functions such
as switching and control functions
can only be programmed at the
PC using the BPS 650­... . For con­
necting the PC to the In-Home bus:
Video, a PRI 602-01 USB program­
ming interface is required, as well as
a ZBVG 650-0 plug-in card.

4 Using a cross-head screwdriver,
release the screw in the battery com-
partment lid.
5 Release the plug-in connection,
remove the spent battery and
dispose of responsibly. Insert the
rechargeable battery in the cordless
handset and establish the plug-in
connection. Close the cover again
and fix using the screw.
