Ultrasound devices generate high-frequency, pulsing tones in the range similar to animal fear and warning signals. These have an alarming
effect on martens.
The LED on the ultrasound device acts as function check.
This ultrasound device may be installed without effort in all vehicles without disturbing the on-board power network and, thanks to the battery
operation, is also suitable for use in the house, garage or shed.
Installation instructions and use:
Before use, a thorough engine compartment wash should be carried out, or use the pre-cleaner item number 16265.
We also recommend cleaning the underside of the vehicle and the site on which it stands.
Before using, undo the 6 screws on the rear of the unit and insert the two supplied batteries. In doing so, pay attention to the correct polarity.
Then screw the cover back into place with the 6 screws. If the built-in LED does not immediately start to flash, check that the batteries have the
correct polarity.
Despite the inherent spray-water protection, install the device in a dry location in the engine compartment. In doing so, avoid the immediate
vicinity of hot parts, for example, exhaust, engine block etc. Never use a steam cleaner or pressure washer on the device!
In the event of small engine compartments, install multiple ultrasound devices since ultrasound is naturally heavily shielded by obstacles.
