Unpacking and checking
1. Remove the grill from the packaging and carefully remove all packaging material.
2. Check that the delivery is complete.
3. Check the grill or its individual parts for any visible damage. If any damage is found, do
not use the grill. In this case, contact the dealer where you bought the device.
Before first use, clean all parts as described in chapter "Cleaning".
Cleaning and heating up
Burns WARNING
− Do not touch the hot surfaces of the grill.
‚ The device may give off a slight odour and smoke during first use. This
is harmless. Ensure there is sufficient ventilation e.g. through an open
window.
‚ The device has no on/off switch. The device is supplied with power
immediately after the power plug is connected to the mains outlet.
Before using the grill for the first time, it is recommended that you first remove dust and any
packaging and production residues.
After cleaning, heat up the grill without grilling anything in it and clean it again after
cooling down.
1. Unlock the device (slide the release on the right-hand side to ) and open the upper
part.
2. Wipe the device and grill plates with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
3. Plug the power cord into the mains outlet.
Once the device is powered up, the Power indicator lights up.
4. Set the temperature control knob to Max.
The Ready indicator also lights up. When Ready goes off, the preset temperature is
reached.
5. Turn the temperature control knob to 0 and unplug the power cord from the mains
outlet.
6. Let the grill cool down completely.
7. Wipe the device and grill plates clean with a soft cloth lightly moistened with water.
The contact grill is now ready for use.
