4. Meaning of LEDs
Temp protect: indicates that there has been an over-
temperature situation.
OK: LED lights when the Ballast Connect is
on.
L1/6: indicates that the relay is switched on.
In the event of a malfunction, the LED
will be off and the outlet will be on.
In that case, contact the seller of
the Ballast Connect.
5. Control and set the Ballast Connect
You can complete all settings with the Push-and-Turn
Knob (from now on PTK).
Short press the knob to enter the main screen. An arrow
(cursor) appears on the left of the screen. You can move
it by turning the PTK. Confirm by pressing the PTK.
5.1 Set LCD on-time
Insert the plug of the Ballast Connect into a 230V socket
to enter the next screen.
Put the cursor in front of "System settings 1".

Press the PTK to enter the next screen:

Set LCD on-time and save the settings.
5.2 Set interval time relay
The option "Relay interval" allows you to determine the
interval for switching the relay on and off during startup.
Minimum interval: 5 seconds.
Maximum interval: 60 seconds.

5.3 Set overtemp delay
This option allows you to determine the interval for
switching the relays on and off in case of an over-
temperature situation.
This function only works if a Temp Probe is connected
(not supplied).
ATTENTION: Before connecting the Temp Probe you
must first switch off the Ballast Connect via the
"maintenance mode" (see section 5.14). Then
disconnect the Ballast Connect from the socket. Plug
the Temp Probe into the Ballast Connect and
reconnect the Ballast Connect to the socket.
In case of an over-temperature situation the Ballast
Connect will not switch off the next relay during the
interval time.
Select << BACK << to return to "System settings 2".
5.4 Set startup delay
Here you can set how long the controller must wait until
restart after power failure.
You can choose from different options:
