Instructions for use and safety notices

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING NOTICES CAREFULLY. PLEASE FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS AND KEEP THEM FOR FUTURE USE. SHOULD YOU PASS THE STEPLADDER ON TO ANOTHER PERSON, PLEASE PASS ALONG THESE IN-
STRUCTIONS WITH THE STEPLADDER.
Before each use
1. Check the stepladder for possible damage. Never step onto a damaged, bent or broken step. If it is
clear that the stepladder is damaged, it must be disposed of immediately.
2. All studs and screws must be fixed tightly. There must not be any play in the steps and the sprea
ding-safety mechanism must be in good working order. It must click into place when the stepladder
is fully opened.
3. The stepladder must not be exposed to grease, oil, dirt, snow, wet paint or other slippery materials.
4. Wear sturdy footwear and keep your soles clean. Do not wear shoes with leather soles.
Proper use
1. Maximum total load: 150 kg
2. The stepladder may only be used by one person at a time.
3. Caution: The material of the stepladder is electro conductive! Avoid contact with electrically charged
wires and do not undertake any work on electrical installations.
4. Ensure that the stepladder is completely opened and that the spreading-safety mechanism / locking
mechanism clicks into place and that the stepladder is secured.
5. Ladder shall be on an even, level and unmoveable base
6. The stepladder may never be placed on a slippery or uneven subsurface. It should not wobble after
being set up and must stand straight.
7. Never place the step stool on top of unstable ground or working platforms to achieve a higher
working height.
8. Never position the stepladder behind a door which opens in the direction of the stepladder.
9. Climb forwards onto the stepladder and keep to the middle of the stepladder. Make sure you do not
lean too far outwards.
10. Never step off the side of the stepladder.
11. Step stool shall never be repositioned from above.

After use
After use, the stepladder can be folded together to save space. In order to do this, you must unlock the
spreading-safety mechanism by lifting the crosspiece.
Store the stepladder as described in "care and storage".
Further notices
1. Never use the stepladder when under the influence of medication or alcohol. Do not use the
stepladder if you are not confident or dizzy.
2. Do not leave the stepladder unsupervised, where there is a possibility that children could play with
it.
3. Do not overload the stepladder. It is intended for use by one person. It may also not be used as a
work platform or as a base frame.
4. The step stool is solely designed for private indoor use.
Care and storage
1. The stepladder should be stored in a clean dry location.
2. The stepladder should be kept clean and free from foreign materials.
3. Dirt should be removed with a damp cloth. The surface of the stepladder should be completely
dry before every use. It must be ensured that there is no residue from any cleaning agents left on the
surface of the stepladder.
