Additional Information for Decks Used in Great Britain
The deck is designed to operate from a mains supply of 240V
AC. Your dealer will install your deck for you and ensure that
your local electricity supply is suitable and no further adjust-
ments should be necessary. We recommend that a 13 amp
3-pin plug fitted with a 3 amp fuse be used. The brown lead
must be connected to the live pin (marked "L" or "red" or
"brown") and the blue lead must be connected to the neutral
pin (marked "N" or "biack" or "blue"). On no account should
either of the wires be connected to the earth pin (marked "E"
or "green/yellow'). If other mains plugs are used, ensure that
they are protected with a 3 amp fuse.

Making the Record Deck Ready for Use

-
The record deck should not be placed near a source of
heat or in direct sunlight.

Connections (Fig. 4)
The record deck is designed to operate from a mains voltage
of 220V AC (GB: 240V/50Hz).
Interconnect the sockets of the record deck and amplifier with
the AF cable supplied. Observe the colour markings of the
plugs.
AF right-hand channel (red),
AF left-hand channel (white).
The earthing cable should be connected to the earthing con-
nection (Lor GND) of your amplifier.
Care and Maintenance
Before playing a record always remove any dust or dirt from
the stylus completely. Do not touche the stylus with the finges.
As the stylus is subject to constant wear while playing records,
we recommend
that you have it checked regularly by your
dealer (diamont styli after about 300 playing hours). Worn or
damaged styli cause record wear.
Clean the dust cover and the cabinet with a soft dry antistatic
cloth.
Never use cleaning agents which contain benzine ora thinner.

Clockwise Rotation: the distance between the record and sty-
