It is important that you read these instructions before
assembling! These instructions provide information
on how to safely use and maintain your awning. You

Before you start...
Proper use of the product
The device is at the current level of science and tech-
nology and meets all valid safety requirements in
place at the time of introduction, assuming proper
use.
The product is intended exclusively for the work spec-
ified in the instruction manual.
Any other type of use is not permitted! In particular,
this product should not be used for protection against
rain, wind or snow.
The device is not designed for commercial use.
Any other type of use is inappropriate. Improper use
or modifications to the device or the use of compo-
nents that are not tested and approved by the manu-
facturer may result in unforeseen damage!
Any unintended use or any activities on the device
not described in these operating instructions are con-
sidered an unauthorised misuse outside the manu-
facturer's legal liability limits.
What are the meanings of the symbols used?
Notes indicating danger and other notes are clearly
identified in the instructions. The following symbols
are used:
DANGER! Immediate risk to life or risk of
injury! A directly dangerous situation which
may lead to death or serious injuries.
WARNING! Potential risk to life or risk of
injury! A generally dangerous situation
which may lead to death or serious injuries.
CAUTION! Potential risk of injury! A dan-
gerous situation which may lead to injuries.
NOTICE! Risk of damage to the unit! Sit-
uation which may lead to damage to prop-
erty.
Note: Information that will help you to better
understand the processes at hand.

protection mask.
When installing, wear a protective helmet.
When installing the product (drilling work)
there are risks posed by flying slivers! Wear
protective goggles.

General safety information
• To ensure safe installation of the awning the user
should read and understand the instructions
before assembling.
• Please comply with all safety instructions! If you
disregard any of the safety instructions, you may
place yourself and others at risk.
• Store all operating information and safety instruc-
tions for future reference.
• If you sell or pass on the device, you must also
pass on these operating instructions.
• The device may only be used when it functions
properly. If the device or part of the device is
defective, have it repaired by a specialist.
• When the awning is extended, various natural
forces resulting from wind and rain will have an
influence on the awning. These, in part, significant
forces must be absorbed by the awning and trans-
ferred to the mounting plane via the fixing brack-
ets. Before first use, make sure that all screws are
firmly tightened.
• Extreme loads may exert great stress on the fixing
screws. Therefore, please ensure that the instal-
lation surface has sufficient capacity for these
loads. Consult a professional if you are unsure.
• Safe and risk-free use of the awning can be guar-
anteed only if the awning is checked and main-
tained on a regular basis. Inspect the awning reg-
ularly for signs of wear or damage to its covering
material or frame.
• In order to avoid damages, do not extend the
awning when there are strong winds.
• Contact your local vendor.
• Only use original spare parts. Only these replace-
ment parts are designed and suitable for the
device. Other replacement parts will not only lead
to an invalidation of the warranty, they may also
endanger you and your environment.
• Children or any other persons, who are not in a
position to operate the product safely and care-
fully due to insufficient physical, psychic or sen-
sory conditions, are not allowed to use or mount
the product.
• Store the radio remote controls out of the reach of
children. Do not permit children to play with the
control unit of the awning.
