HD-30 SPECIAL FEATURES
1. Battery-powered

shaped like
a conventional cassette.
Can be used to
demagnetize the heads of virtually any audio cassette deck.

simple and
effective. A

HOW TO
USE
THE HD-30 CASSETTE HEAD DEMAGNETIZER
1.
Check
!hat
alloutpul
Ievei controls of the
cassette
deck
and amplifier
are at their
minimum or
"0"
position.
2. Insert the HD-30 into the cassette deck as
you
would
a
conventional cassette tape. Be sure the clear window
and
gear train face you.
3. Turn your cassette deck power
switch
to
"ON".

4. Press the
cassette
deck
"PLAY"
button. The
H0-30's
red
indicator lamp willlight
and a continuous tonewill be heard indicating \hat demagnetization is in progress.
NOTE: Some portable
cassette
players will
activate
the HD-30 without
you
having
to push the
"PLAY"
button.
Should this occur, simply wait until the series of
short beeps are heard before removing the HD-30 from
the
deck.
5. After a Iew seconds, the continuous tonewill change to a series of
short
beeps
indicating
!hat
lhe demagnetizing process is complete. The
red
indicator
lamp,
however, will remain on. Leaving the HD-30 in the cassette deck will not cause
any darnage but the battery will be drained unnecessarily.
6.
Press the
cassette deck "STOP" button and remove the HD-30.
7.
Return the HD-30
and its instruction sheet back to the
storage
case supplied.
8.
The cassette deck is now ready for use.
BATTERY LIFE
One alkaline battery willlast for approximately 300 five-second
applications.
II left
unused, however, the battery will gradually weaken and therefore need replacing.
NOTE: Battery replacement is necessarywhen the H0-30's red indicator lamp fails
to light and/or the tone generator fails to
sound
when the cassette deck
"PLAY" button is depressed.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
1. Carefully remove the battery cover
from
the back of the
HD-30
and remove the old battery.
2. Place the new battery into the H0-30's battery com-
partment making sure correct polarity is observed.
3. Replace
the
battery cover.
Replacement
battery: 1.5V LR-44 (alkaline)

Keep batteries out of the reach of
children.

Das Entmagnetisieren mit der HD-30
1.
Vergewissern
Sie sich, ob alle
Ausgangspegelregler des
Gasseltendecks
und
des Verstärkers
auch
wirklich
auf
Minimum
gestelit sind.
2. Die Entmagnetisier-Cassette wie
eine normale
Ton-
band-Cassette
einsetzen.
Das
sichtbare Getriebe
muß
nach
außen zeigen.
3. Das Gasseltendeck
einschalten.

4. Die Starttaste des Gasseltendecks drücken, woraufhin die Kontrollampe
auf-
leuchtet. Wahrend des Entmagnetisierens
ist ein
Summton hörbar.
HINWEIS: Bei
einigen tragbaren
Cassettenspielern
spricht
die
Entmagnetisier-
Cassette
auch
ohne Drücken der Starttaste an. ln diesem Falle
einfach
warten, bis der Piepton
erklingt,
und die Gasseite wieder
entnehmen.
5. Das Entmagnetisieren ist abgeschlossen,
sobald
nach ungefähr
einer
Sekunde
anstelle des Summtons eine Reihe kurzer Pieptöne erklingt. Zur Schonung der
Batterie
sollte
die Entmagnetisier-Cassette nicht unnötig lange
im
Laufwerk
belassen werden
(keine
Gefahr einer Beschädigung).
6. Die Stoptaste des Gasseltendecks drücken und die Gasseite entnehmen.
7. Die Entmagnetisier-Cassette zusammen mit dem Anleitungsbogen wieder in
die mitgelieferte Box legen.
8. Das Gasseltendeck ist nun wieder voll einsatzbereit.
Batterie-Lebensdauer
Bei Verwendung
einer
Alkali-Batterie beträgt die Lebenserwartung rund 300 Ein-
satzzyklen von jeweils fünf Sekunden Dauer. Ein Auswechsein kann
aber auch
nach längerer Nichtbenutzung
erforderlich sein,
da die Batterie sich
allmählich
erschöpft.
HINWEIS: Die Batterie muß ausgewechselt werden, wenn nach dem Drücken der
Starttaste Kein Summton hörbar wird oder die Kontrollampe nicht
aufleuchtet.
Auswechsein
der Batterie
1. Den Deckel des
rückseitigen
Batteriefaches
öffnen
und die erschöpfte Batterie entnehmen
.
2. Eine net'0 Batterie einsetzen. Dabei auf richtige Polari-
tät achten.
3. Den Batteriefachdeckel wieder
einsetzen.

produit,
il

serie

courts

retentisse avant
de
retirer Ia cassette HD-30 du
magnetocassette.
5. Apres

bips,
pour
indiquer que

demagnetisation

allumee.

feuille d'instructions
dans

coffret

ment fourni, et utiliser le
magnetocassette
de Ia maniere
habituelle.

Le magnetocassette est

Autonomie de Ia pile
Une pile
alcaline
presente une
autonomie
d'environ
300 utilisations
de
cinq
secondes chacune.
Neanmoins,

pile

Retirez

une pile neuve

cassette
HD-30,

Ia
polarite correcte.
3. Remeitre le
couvercle
de
pile.
