Arm rest
When you do not intend to play any records,
secure the tonearm @ to the arm rest.
When
the tonearm
is disengaged from the
arm rest, the power will automatically come
on.
Automatic mechanism
This
model
incorporates
an
automatic
mechanism
and
so
bear
in mind
the
following points.
Do
not
touch
the
tonearm
when
it is
about
to
return
automatically
to
the
arm rest.
When the platter is rotating and when it
has
stopped,
do not attempt
to rotate
it
in the
opposite
(counterclockwise)
direction.
Note:
The tonearm
may not automatically re-
turn to the arm rest after a record, which
does not conform to IEC standards, has
been played. In cases like this, set the arm
lifter /auto cut lever to CUT.
Howling
Cartridges
are
very
sensitive
and
may
pick
up slight sound
pressure
or vibra-
tions of the
speaker
coming
along
the
floor or through
the air —
resulting in
howling. Therefore, the location of your
turntable is very important. Find a loca-
tion which
is very stable and free from
vibration.
Induction Hum
Your
turntable
utilizes
a brushless
DC
servo motor
to reduce inductive hum. lf
annoying
inductive hum
is heard, it can
be caused
by the electromagnetic
field
produced
from
the
motors
or
trans-
formers
used
in another device. Do not
place
the
turntable
near
a device
in
which a motor or transformer is used. To
prevent the turntable from being affected
by the power transformer of your ampli-
fier, receiver or tape deck, position the
turntable
on
the opposite
side of the
power transformer.
