Data interface connections
Notice
This product contains components that can be damaged by electrostatic
discharge (ESD). Observe precautions for handling ESD sensitive devices and
never touch connector pins unless properly grounded.
Connecting the remote keypad
This product can be used with compatible HEIDENHAIN subsequent electronics.
To connect the remote keypad:
Verify that the unit power switch is in the off position

Using the supplied cable or an RJ-45 cable with no crossovers, connect one end of the

cable to the RJ-45 port on the remote keypad 2 and the other end to the RJ-45 port
on the subsequent unit. Refer to the subsequent unit documentation for RJ-45 port
location and additional installation instructions.
