Connecting the adapter to an automobile power receptacle
To use the power adapter with an automobile power receptacle, complete these
steps:
1. Plug the smaller end of the DC power cord (see 1 in the illustration
below).
2. Insert the large end of the cord into the automobile power receptacle (see
2 in the illustration below.) The cord is fully inserted when a click is
heard.
3. Insert the smaller, yellow-tipped connector into the power connector of
your notebook computer (see 3 in the illustration below). Make sure the
notebook computer is charging by checking the power icon on the system
tray on the computer display. The icon displays as a plug if the computer is
charging or as a battery if it is not.
Note: The adapter is not supported for use in vehicles with 24-volt electrical
systems.
Connecting the adapter to an in-flight power system
To use the power adapter with a 4-pin in-flight power receptacle, follow these
steps:
1. Remove the automobile power receptacle adapter from the large end of the
power cable to reveal the 4-pin airline connector, as shown below.
