Rosenbauer – BELT IRS
The rescue loop IRS BELT is an emergency rescue device, which is set up very easily
and therefore ready for use very quickly. It is only designed for use in extreme
situations, when – for instance – other rescue devices (rescue tubs, ambulance
hammocks, rescue harnesses, rescue bags and similar) can not be used or are not
available due to local conditions (in narrow shafts) or for reasons of time (acute
emergency situation).
If it is not possible to store the instructions for use together with the product due to
the special use of the product in the field of fire fighting and the particular storage
places in the fire fighting ambiance (in emergency vehicles), the instructions for use
must be referenced by an eventually allocated inventory number or by means of the
serial number according to the product label. The instructions for use must be stored,
together with the integrated TEST SHEET, in a way that inspection by the user is
possible at anytime. Before using the product it must be evident to its user that the
product has been inspected by a competent person (see item 2.1 Periodic
inspections) within the frame of the periodic inspection.
IRS BELT - Rescue loop class A:
The rescue loop IRS BELT in class A is designed in a way that the straps on the back
and under the arms hold the person to be rescued during the rescue action. When
putting the rescue loop on, make sure that it suits well in order to avoid any
unintentional falling out or slipping out.
Attention: Nominal load max = 150kg.
The entire structure of the IRS BELT – rescue loop is flame resistant according to EN
469:2007 (performance requirements for protective clothing for fire fighting).
The rescue loop IRS BELT in class A may only be used for the intended use and under
the described conditions of use.The rescue loop may only be used with a tested and
approved karabiner:

ATTENTION: Rescue loops are only suitable for rescue purposes. The
rescue loop is not suitable to rescue unconscious persons. The rescuer
must ensure that the person to be rescued is not endangered or injured
by a displacement of the rescue loop or by impact with the fixing
elements (e.g. when a connecting element strikes the head of the
person to be rescued during an unintentional event, such as a slight fall).
Due to the risk of a suspension trauma, the period in which the person
to be rescued is held in a rescue loop, should be as short as possible.

5.4 SPECIFIC NOTES FOR USE AS WORK POSITIONING BELT.
This product is made of aramid yarn. Please also refer to item 3) Period of use.
