1. Loose the screw of the DPR cover on the bottom of the slotcar
and then remove the cover from the chassis.
2. Unplug the existing plug-in connection between the analog
board on the cover and the slotcar.
3. Connect the plug of the digital board with the cable connector
of the slotcar.
4. Insert the cover with the digital board into the chassis and
secure it with the screw.
Attention!
If a malfunction of the CU of the digital system of Carrera® is reco-
gnized while using the slotcar after conversion (beep, etc.), this is
probably due to an installed suppression capacitor of more than 50
nanofarads by the slotcar manufacturer at the braid contacts of the
slotcar. The suppression capacitor has to be removed in this case.
Main FuncTions
To change settings the slotcar hast to be placed on the track in
driving direction. Any change in the programming is confirmed by
fast flashing lights when the vehicle lighting (front light/rear light)
is plugged into the decoder. Any settings remain stored until a new
programming is carried.
Encoding to an according speed controller
Start the encoding process by pressing the CODE button on the CU
and complete the process by pressing the lane change button on
the speed controller.
In the case of encoding by double pressing the lane change button
on the speed controller please note a short break between the
clicks (about 0.5 seconds). Furthermore, the vehicle must be de-en-
ergized at least 3 seconds before each encoding. The introduction
of the encoding process is visually signaled by fast flashing lights
after the first double pressing the lane change button on the

Notices
A Safetycar™ or Pacecar™ function is not integrated. The pitlane
function is only possible using the CU 30352 of Carrera®.
Recommendations
Caused by the Slotcar manufacturer the light function in the
digital mode can deviate from the desired function. In this case
the LEDs built in the slotcar can be connected by the enclosed
light cables to the appropriate plug-in contacts of the digital
board.
If no LEDs are installed in the slotcar we recommend using
series 3mm Standard LEDs in white or red with upstream
resistance for better appearance (680Ω for white and 330Ω for
red - not included).
speed controller when the vehicle lighting (front light/rear light) is
plugged into the decoder.
Setting the basic speed
By pressing the SPEED button on the CU select the desired speed
level and confirm by pressing the ENTER button on the CU.
Setting the braking effect
By pressing the BRAKE button on the CU select the desired braking
level and confirm by pressing the ENTER button on the CU.
Light on/off
The slotcar must be located at least 3 seconds at a standstill on the
track. Then the light can be switched on or off by pressing the lane
change button on the speed controller. (Only when the vehicle
lighting (front light/rear light) is plugged into the decoder.)
