PUTTING INTO OPERATION
First check that the voltage stated on the text plate
corresponds with the available power supply and then insert
the plug into a properly earthed socket.

READ THE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE OPERATING
THE DEMAGNETIZER!
1. Keep metal objects at least 50 cm away from the
demagnetizer
2. Hold the demagnetizer against the workpiece surface and
switch on by pressing the red button (1).

Make slow, circular movements, making sure to cover the
magnetized area completely and then move at least 50 cm
away from the workpiece (see sketch).
To protect the workpiece surfac e from scratching put thin
cardboard or plastic (0,5-1 mm) on top of the workpiece.
Make sure to keep the demagnetizer at least 50 cm away
from the workpiece before switching off

The depth of field is 30 mm maximum. lf the workpiece is
thicker, turn it over to treat the other side following step 3.

Use a Walmag Gauss meter (model 20-0-20 code no.
390.95.15 or model 50-0-50 code no. 390.95.16) to check
the residual magnetism.

lf the workpiece is insufficiently demagnetized, repeat the
operation from step 3.
Never exceed the maximum ON time of 10 minutesl
Keep the device clean.
Check the demagnetizer for damage regularly.
Check the cable and plug weekly for tears, damage or wear.
Store the demagnetizer in a dry and frost-proof place.
Check the presence and legibility of the text plate.
Consult your supplier if repair seems necessary.
