Connecting the luminaire (variant 'L')
The luminaire variant 'L' is delivered with free cable
ends.
i Connection terminals are not in scope of
delivery. Choose the terminals for connection of
the luminaire suitable for the used cable type
and according to national regulations (e.g. screw
terminals 2.5 mm² / 230 V / 16 A acc. to EN
60998-2-1).
i The terminals must be provided with an
additional cover (A) by the customer in order to
meet the requirements for double or reinforced
insulation as well as a degree of protection
suitable for the installation environment
(Figure 5).

Wire the luminaires according to connection
diagram.

Aligning the luminaire (Figure 7)
Precondition: the retainer clamp is installed.
o
A: Adjust luminaire housing in the clamp to the
desired angle of inclination.
o
B: Attach clamping discs (3) to both sides of the
luminaire. To do this, tighten the screws in the
middle of the disc using a TORX 30 pin wrench.
o
C: To lock the discs, also tighten the setscrews
(10) on both sides of the luminaire using an
INBUS 1.5 pin wrench.

Beam direction with asymmetrical optics
Observe beam direction when using asymmetrical

Commissioning
Switching on luminaire (without DALI)
o
Switch on mains voltage.
The luminaire begins to light up with full
brightness as soon as the mains voltage is
switched on.
i In the case of luminaires with DALI interfaces,
the behaviour after switching on the mains
voltage depends on the configuration. At the
factory, the luminaires are configured to switch
to full brightness if there is a failure of the DALI
signal.
Switching on luminaire (DALI broadcast
operation)
If connected to a DALI broadcast control unit
(e.g. DALI-Powerpoti, see "Accessories"), the
luminaire can be controlled directly without
addressing.
o
Switch on mains voltage.
The luminaire switches to full brightness until the
first DALI broadcast telegram is received.
Afterwards, the luminaire reacts to the
brightness transmitted from the DALI transmitter.
o
Switch on luminaire via DALI broadcast control
unit and set the required brightness.
Switching on luminaire (addressed DALI
operation)
If connected to a DALI control unit for addressed
operation (e.g. DALI-Gateway, see "Accessories"),
the luminaire must first be addressed via the start-up
dialog of the control unit. The luminaire responds in
the DALI bus as an individual operating device.

Switch on mains voltage.
o
Poll DALI Bus.
o
Address and configure luminaire (see operation
manual of the DALI control unit).
