The PTO guard (n1. fig.1), the rear soil flap (n.2 fig.1) and the
external protections (n.8 fig.1), are safety devices that should
never be removed from the implement but must be kept in perfect working
condition and replaced when necessary.

The drive line supplied cultivators has a shear pin type safety clutch to protect
both tractor and cultivator transmission.
2.1 COUPLING THE CULTIVATOR TO THE TRACTOR
Position the cultivator on the ground in a horizontal position using the relative
stabilizer stands.
2.1.1 Central working position
Follow these steps to couple the tractor and the cultivator:
a) Stop the tractor close to the cultivator; lower the draft links and switch the
engine off.
b) Insert the cultivator draft links n.3 fig.1 (C fig.2) and lock them in position with
the safety pins.
To put the cultivator in a central position, the pins fixing it to the lift arms
should be turned to the right (based on cultivator driving direction).
c) Connect the 3rd point link (A fig.2) to the cultivator using pin n.10 fig.1.
Working from the tractor side, fix the 3rd point link in the hole on the power lift
support (C fig.2). The axis of the 3rd point link should correspond with the axis
of the tractor.
d) Couple the drive line by connecting the end with shear pin clutch to the
cultivator and the other end to the tractor's top PTO. Use the chain n.9 fig. 1 to
facilitate the operation.
e) Start the tractor, raise the cultivator and tighten the safety chains to prevent
the risk of sideways movement by the implement.
f) With the cultivator lowered to the ground, register the 3-point hitch arms so
that axis B fig.2 of the PTO clutch is parallel to the ground.
