The European legislation, applied in every Member State asks that all electric and electronic
devices marked with these symbols are to be disposed of separately from normal domestic
waste. This rule includes all products from the MODUSV range. The electrician is directly in
charge of the correct disposal of the product MODUSV. For the disposal of the product,
especially the battery inside, the electrician must know and follow the indications of the local
authorities. Used products are to be recycled. This contributes to the reduction of the waste
quantity as well as of the negative impact that elements, such as lead from inside the battery,
may have on the human health and the nature. The symbol on the electric and electronic
devices are valid only for Member States of the European Union.
Danger of electrocution: read the following warning accurately:
The products of the range MODUSV must not be used under other ambient and service conditions than
indicated on the product label. Besides the product code, also the electric input and output characteristics,
the maximum service temperature, the type of protection (if present), the lot of production and the applied
safety standard are to be found on the label. For further information on the label of the product MODUSV
see table D on page 21.

Precautions: read the following warning accurately:
(Negligence may cause death or serious injury). Do not connect the product MODUSV to a non-specified
power source. Do not connect the output terminals to the AC mains supply . Do not damage or crush the
power cables. Do not perform any connection with wet hands. Do not short-circuit the terminals or the
electric input and output cables. Keep the product and the power cables away from humidity or dust.
Attention: read the following warning accurately:
(Negligence may cause injury or damage to private property). Do not effect installation or connections when
the device MODUSV is live: it may cause electric shock or damage to the device. Before energizing the
product make sure that the input and output cables as well as the battery cables are wired and connected
correctly, that there is no damage or short-circuit. It may cause flame ejection or electric shock.
Prohibition: read the following warning accurately:
Do not install the product MODUSV in any place other than indicated here-after as malfunction, i.e. risk of
electric shock or flame ejection may result:
- Places accessible to non authorized and non qualified personnel. – Places exposed to low temperature.
- Under direct solar radiation. – Next to devices subject to permanent variation in temperature. – In front of
air condition devices. – Inside cooling chambers. –Places with humidity or extreme condensation such as
bath rooms, cellars, greenhouses etc.

hot air or smoke (next to radiators or hotplates). – Outside or exposed to rain.

Do not alter or perforate the product MODUSV. If the product does not work correctly or shows any
malfunction, do not repair. Immediately de-energize the product and contact our technicians.
