Check points after starting the engine
After starting the engine, the following points must be checked before starting work:
1.
Set the throttle lever to the "MIN" position and let the engine idle for about 5 min. This will warm up the
engine lubricant.
2.
As soon as the engine has warmed up, check the following points:
o
The exhaust gases must not show any unusual colour.
o
There must be no liquid leaking from hoses and pipes.
Starting the engine at low temperatures
1.
Allow the engine to idle for about 10 minutes. If the temperature of the hydraulic oil is too low, the op-
eration will be affected.
2.
Do not run the machine at full load until the engine has warmed up completely.
If one of the following situations occurs, the engine must be switched off immediately:
o
Engine speed suddenly increases or decreases.
o
Sudden abnormal noise.
o
Exhaust gases are black.
NOTE:
In this case, the engine must be checked at a specialized workshop.

Before starting:
•
Pull 1/3 of the throttle lever (5).
•
Pull the choke lever (7) back to the bottom.
NOTE:
You do not need to operate the choke lever
to start the engine when it is already warm.
•
Turn the ignition key (9) from the "ON" position
to the "START" position for 5 seconds.
NOTE:
To avoid overloading the battery and the
starter, the start attempt should be aborted after a
maximum of 10 seconds. Wait at least 20 seconds
before attempting to start again.
•
As soon as the engine starts, the ignition key
automatically returns to the "ON" position.
•
Check whether the power indicator (10) has
gone out.
•
If the power indicator does not go out, stop the
engine and look for the causes (e.g.: empty
battery or if the fuse is blown).
•
When the engine stops suddenly, push forward
the right operating lever for attachments (1) to
let the bucket fall down, so as not to cause
misoperation, resulting in injury due to bucket
fall.
