SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
!
• Make sure that the voltage of your mains supply corresponds to that shown on the identification
plate on the underside of your appliance.
• The appliance must always be plugged into an earthed socket.
• Never allow the power cord to dangle over the edge of the worktop.
• Make sure the appliance or its power cord never comes into contact with a hot or wet surface.
• Bread can burn, therefore the toaster must not be used near or below curtains and other
combustible materials. Do not use the appliance under wall cabinets.
• The appliance is not intended for use by young children or infirm persons unless they have been
adequately supervised by a responsible person to ensure that they can use the appliance safely.
• Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
• Never leave your toaster unattended when in use.
• When in use, do not touch the toaster except the buttons and lever. It might be extremely hot.
• Always unplug the toaster after use and before cleaning. Do not unplug by pulling the cord.
• If your appliance has broken down, if your appliance has fallen, or If the supply cord is
damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified
persons in order to avoid a hazard
• Never insert anything but bread, tea cakes, bagels etc, ino the toaster, especially any metal
utensils, which could cause electric shock or flames.
• Do not insert oversized foods into the slots, as this could cause fire.
• Never warm food with a topping ( eg pizza ) if it drips into the toaster it could catch fire or damage
the elements.
• When using the bun warmer never wrap the food up. Plastic wrapping will melt and could catch
fire. Foil will reflect the heat damaging the toaster.
• The bun warmer can also be used as a toast rack, but take care not to get burnt if it is too hot.
• If bread gets stuck in the toaster, unplug the appliance and let it completely cool down before
trying to remove the piece of bread. Do not use knife or sharp tool, as you may damage the
heating elements.
• If flames were to occur, immediately unplug the toaster and smother the flames with a damp cloth.
• Do not use your appliance outdoors.
• This product has been designed for domestic use only.

should be taken to a collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment.
