A Thunderbolt 4 host computer offers up to 40 Gbit/s performance and is intended to be used for

connecting the IB-HUB801-TB4 to your host computer or tablet.
This hub adapts to the Type-C host device it is connected to.
®
If it is connected to a Thunderbolt 3 / 4, or USB4 host device, it will provide up to 40 Gbit/s per-
™ ®
formance.
If it is connected to a 10 Gbit/s or 5 Gbit/s USB Type-C host device, it will provide those performance
®
levels.
You can connect up to two external monitors to the IB-HUB801-TB4 via the three Thunderbolt 4 ports,
as long as your laptop will support two monitors.
This can either be achieved by directly connecting a Thunderbolt 3 or USB Type-C monitor to the
™ ®
spare Thunderbolt 4 ports on the IB-HUB801-TB4.

Alternatively, if you want to connect a HDMI or DisplayPort monitor you can use a USB Type-C to
® ™ ®
HDMI or USB Type-C to DisplayPort adapter (not included).

Power Delivery
The hub can provide up to 85 W Power Delivery to the attached host notebook or tablet.
For users of larger notebooks who are using CPU and GPU intensive applications, we recommend
connectiong the notebook's charger directly to the notebook.
Note:
Some Windows PC manufacturers have chosen to limit their Thunderbolt 3 / 4 or USB Type-C port to
™ ®
not allow charging through the port. Please check to see whether your PC port supports charging.
3. Connect your peripherals to the appropriate interfaces on the hub.
