Safety Advice:
The ball tow bar must not be unlocked when a trailer is attached or a bicycle carrier or other equipment is fitted.
NO person, animal or object must be in the swivel range of the ball tow bar.
During operation of levers 1 and 2 keep hands away from the ball tow bar.
During swivelling of the ball tow bar keep hands away from levers 1 and 2.
By rocking, check the ball tow bar for firm seating and correct locking before EVERY journey!
If the ball tow bar is not locked an acoustic signal must sound.
Swivel Procedure:
1.)
Push the safety lever 1 up to the stop in the direction of arrow „a" and to unlock lever 2 turn it to the stop in the direction of
arrow „b"
If the ball tow bar is not locked there is an acoustic warning signal.
The ball tow bar swivels automatically into the intermediate position.
2.)
Levers 1 and 2 spring back on being released.
3.)
Swivel the ball tow bar by hand smoothly out of the intermediate position into the desired position (operational or idle
position).
The ball tow bar automatically locks into place. During the swivel procedure an acoustic warning signal sounds until the ball
tow bar is locked..
If the acoustic warning signal can be heard the trailer hitch MUST NOT be used. Steps 1) to 3) must be repeated. If the
fault cannot be remedied, go to the nearest customer service station.
