18. Do not overheat the barbecue! If too much coal is placed on the barbecue, this can
lead to damage to the bowl, grids and/or coating. This is not covered by the
guarantee
Light up the BBQ
1. Open the lid of the barbecue and open all air vents. Remove the grill grids
2. Place the charcoal/briquettes in the appropriate coal container. Do not fill more than
1/3rd of the firebowl with charcoal/bricks.
3. Coal starters, electric starters or other means suitable for lighting charcoal can be
used to light the barbecue instead of firelighters or barbecue lighter fluid.
4. NEVER use a charcoal starters in combination with barbecue lighter fluid.
5. WARNING! Do not use methylated spirit, petrol or other flammable liquids to ignite or
re-ignite! Only use igniters that comply with EN 1860-3!
6. When the charcoal / briquettes have burned to ashes, the grill can be placed on the
barbecue, use oven or barbecue gloves to prevent injuries.
7. After the barbecue has reached the right temperature, you can keep this temperature
under control by partially opening or closing the air vents. Opening them increases
the temperature and closing them decreases the temperature.
8. Do not use aluminium foil in the coal tray. This obstructs the air supply and has an
immediate negative effect on the temperature. This can damage the coating.
9. If the air vents are left open for a long time, the barbecue will become too hot. This
can damage the coating.
Extinguishing the barbecue
1. Let all the charcoal/briquettes and ash burn up completely. By spreading these well
with a barbecue tongs in the coal pan, the fire will extinguish faster.
2. Close all the air vents of the charcoal barbecue. By shutting off all oxygen supply, the
fire will extinguish faster.
3. NEVER use water to extinguish the fire. Use of water can lead to personal injury
and/or property damage.
4. Empty the ash container only after all charcoal/briquettes and ash have been
completely extinguished and the barbecue has cooled down well.
Assembly
Mount the barbecue according to the manual and the drawings.
Incorrect assembly can lead to very dangerous situations.
All parts must be assembled as indicated on the assembly drawing. If a part is missing
and/or if you have doubts about the correct assembly, please contact technical service.
Cleaning
- do not use water while the barbecue is still hot
- remove charcoal and ash when the barbecue has cooled down completely
- clean the charcoal bowl with mild soapy water.
