9. Maintenance and troubleshooting

Prior to carrying out any maintenance work, the pump must be sepa-
rated from the electrical mains. If you fail to separate the unit from
mains, there is a risk of an inadvertent start of the pump.
We decline any liability for damage caused by inappropriate repair at-
tempts. Any damage caused by inappropriate repair attempts will avoid
all warranty claims.
Regular maintenance and thorough care will reduce the danger of possible mal-
function and contribute to an extension of the lifetime of your unit.
hydraulic system is no longer under pressure. On
the back of the tank you will find the sticker shown
above. Below this sticker is the valve for air pres-
sure regulation. Unscrew the protective cap of the
tank valve (12).
You can now check the pre-pressure on the boiler
valve using a commercially available ir pressure
gauge. This pressure must be 1.5 bar and must
be corrected if necessary.
If water escapes from the tank valve, the diaphragm is defective and must be re-
placed. A high-quality diaphragm is available as a spare part.
If the pump is to be put out of operation for some extended period of time, it
should be emptied completely in by opening the water drain screw (10). Subse-
quently, please flush the pump with clean water. Then allow the pump body to
dry completely in order to prevent corrosion damage.
Water left in the pump may freeze in case of frost and thus cause considerable
damage. Please store the pump in a dry, frost- protected place.
To prevent possible breakdowns, it is advisable to
regularly check the pressure generated and the
energy consumption. The pre-pressure (air pres-
sure) in the tank should also be checked regularly
- at least every 6 months. To do this, disconnect or
switch off the pump
from the mains
supply and open a
consumer in the
pressure line - e.g.
a water tap - so the
