Before first use
Before first use or if the radio has not been used for
more than 60 days, it is recommended to charge the
device for 3 to 5 minutes by hand crank or sunlight.

Emergency-Alarm
Slide the switch to „AL" (7). The alarm activates immedi-
ately. An alarm sound is emitted and the red LED under
the flashlight flashes red.
CAUTION! Use the alarm only in emergencies. The alarm
is only used to draw attention to oneself and does not
send an emergency signal to the responsible authorities.
Radio
1. Select battery operation with the AAA Li-Ion switch on
the bottom before use.
2. Turn the VOLUME control clockwise to turn on the
radio and adjust the volume. The green indicator lamp
lights up.
3. Select FM/AM/SW1/SW2 with radio band switch,
extend the antenna to get better signal reception.
4. Turn the TUNING control to select the station. The
green indicator light lights up when the selected channel
is fully received.
Flashlight and reading lamp
Press the button to turn on/off the flashlight.
Lift the solar panel and the reading lamp will light up
automatically.
The LED lamps in the luminaire cannot be replaced.
Alarm
To activate the alarm, slide the AL-RADIO switch (7) to
the „AL" position.
Power supply

Batteries
1. Hand Crank
Rotate the crank (16) for 3-5 minutes to charge the
battery at first use. As you turn the crank, the battery
light will glow red.
Continuously rotate the hand crank clockwise or
counterclockwise (speed of 130 - 150 RPM/minutes) to
generate power. One minute of cranking is enough for
about 20 minutes of LED light or 15 minutes of radio at
medium volume.
2. Solarpanel
» Put the solar panel in direct sunlight for 10-12 hours,
the red battery light will be on while charging.
» The solar panel charges the entire device including the
radio, flashlight and SOS alarm.
» The solar panel can extend the life of your radio's
battery.
3. Charging via the USB port
Plug the charging cable into the USB socket. When the
battery is charging, the red battery light will light up.
The battery light flashes red while charging, once fully
charged it stays on permanently.
4. Use the device with AAA batteries
Insert the AAA battery into the battery compartment.
Pay attention to the correct polarity. Close the battery
compartment again. Set the AAA - LI-ion switch to „AAA"
position.
Powerbank
Plug the USB cable into the USB socket and the other end
into the device to be charged.
Mobile phones or other devices can be charged with the
hand crank, but it is advised to only be used as a last
emergency option.
Note: Do not charge USB devices when using the radio,
otherwise radio noise may occur. Only use the power
bank function in an emergency.
Charge and discharge protection
» Red battery light will turn off when the device is fully
charged.
» When the battery is overcharged or short-circuited, it
will automatically stop outputting.
» When the battery voltage is below 2.5 V, the power
source will be cut off automatically.

Cleaning and maintenance
Periodically wipe clean with a soft dry cloth. Never use
scourers, abrasives or chemical cleaners.
Unplug the power cord from the outlet when not in use
before cleaning the unit.
