9. Attach mount 1 using the star knob screws (Abb. 20,
item 1).
10. Attach the stop pin (Abb. 20, item 7) if it has been
removed to align mount 1.
11. Insert one end stop (Abb. 14, item 1) each on the
left and right into the top of the frame (Abb. 14,
item 2).

12. Attach the protective hood above the VW calibrati-
on board and secure it with the locking bolt for the
protective hood (1 690 381 232).
!
Without the protective hood, there is a risk of dama-
ging the VW calibration board during the following
steps.
13. Insert the precision measuring bar into the mounts.

14. Check the alignment of the spirit level for the pitch
angle and the spirit level for the roll angle on the
DAS 800/1000 (VAS 6430) and use the star knob
screws (Abb. 11, item 3) to adjust it if necessary.
15. Use the spirit level for the roll angle (Abb. 23, item
3) to align the precision measuring bar by carefully
adjusting mount 1 and mount 2.
 The spirit level for the roll angle on the precision
measuring bar (Abb. 23, item 3) must match the
spirit level for the roll angle on the DAS 800/1000
(VAS 6430) (Abb. 11, item 2).
16. Slide both end stops (Abb. 24, item 1) down until
they meet the mounts (Abb. 24, item 2) and secure
them at 5 Nm.

17. Use sealing wax to mark the end stop position. Make
sure the contact surfaces between the end stop and
the mount remain free of sealing wax.

18. If the handles have been removed from the
DAS 800/1000 (VAS 6430) (sec. 4.3), attach the
handles to the frame above the upper end stops.
